The problem was to dye the clear two-part epoxy mix to approximate the gelcoat black color finish on my Champion Boat. This is intended to patch scratches, dings and gauges on the bottom of the boat. It only required a couple of drops of Rit/black in 1-2 ozs of epoxy mix to get a close color match. The one application tip I can give is to stir the metalflake & epoxy mix often to keep the MF from settling to the bottom. Time will tell on durability .

I follow instruction, dye then wash the first time with warm water, etc.... but my shirts turn into 80% black, not 100%, and everytime I wash it, the color fade away...

I dyed blue jeans into black and worked good. The brand has been around a long time so I know it works. Just follow directions and wear plastic gloves.

check out there site for instructions. Different materials are dyed differently. Some can use hot water and others require boiling. Overall good stuff
