For an older model, this went together very good. Very little gaps to fill and the seams sanded out well. I built the model with the missile bay closed so I can't comment that part of the build. I also used aftermarket decals as I wanted a particular squadron. A pretty easy build, even for beginners.

The F-106 is a far out looking jet, and I was happy to find this model of it at a reasonable cost. There are substantial fitting issues however, and be prepared to deal with them. The upper and lower halves of the fuselage do not line up properly, and the wings where they pair up with the main body of the jet leave noticeable gaps. Patience and skill are required to have this model coming out looking good. A lot of sanding, and some putty work, and a good solid paint job will make the difference between a shabby looking model and a good looking model. I do not think that this kit can end looking super great with the fit issues involved with it. It's a challenge to be sure!

This kit I have built before it has good detail in weapons and wheel wells cockpit is nice. The kit looks great when built. Use aftermarket decals. Stock decals are poor.

I've built many of these Monogram/ Revell F-106 's. The trick to lining up the fuselage halves is filing or block sanding the joints first then gluing one side at a time. The wing roots, if done correctly will require no putty or filling at all. There is problems with the fit on the jet intakes where they meet at the wing root but I've found these easier to correct after the lower fuselage has been mated to the upper fuselage. Hope this helps the builder but this kit still builds up into an impressive looking F-106.
