Buying a Pebble in 2019 isn't for everyone. iPhone users specifically won't be able to use most of the original features anymore as Pebble the company is long gone. The Rebble community however has restored nearly every feature for Android users, bringing this unique concept of a smartwatch back as one of the best smartwatches available for people looking for smartwatches. The Pebble is a really great wristwatch notifier. It's slimmer than a lot of even regular watches and feels light without feeling cheap. It's 16 color screen looks great without being eye-catchingly distracting. Battery life is unrivaled at around 3 days (for me, out of the box). This all said, there are a lot of tradeoffs. To get the slim form factor, you won't find too many fitness tracking features like heart-rate monitoring. You also won't get phone replacing features like WiFi or GPS. The software library is limited to very basic extensions to phone apps. There's no onscreen keyboard to use (with your four buttons). When you compare the Pebble to an Apple Watch or WearOS watch, it won't stand up on a spec sheet. Yet none of these missing features take away from the Pebble. You can accomplish anything you need to do in about five seconds on a Pebble. Got a message? Send a thumbs up or a canned response and go back to whatever you were doing. Play/pause/skip songs that are playing on your phone. Plus, look at the time with a custom watch face. The Pebble is a very honed smartwatch that knows what its meant to do and does that exceptionally well. I haven't found any newer watches that even attempt to improve on what Pebble made. It's not a phone on your wrist, it's a smartwatch and it only does what you need it to.Read full review

I enjoy wearing a watch again and this fits most of the bill. Pros: I love getting my notifications on my wrist, and actually looking down on my wrist to know the time. There are some useful apps for it and it LOOKS awesome. Cons: The battery life about every 36 hours which is very inconvenient when you only have one charger cable, plus, I think a watch should be able to remain on your wrist... It is not recommended to shower with this on which is o.k. by me, The apps are very limited and I think there could have been a better approach to how to access them but the operating system is acceptable. I can't wait till they get a much better battery life and the operating system is improved. Overall, I like the round design and was willing to give up a week charge for the 36 hour charge compared to the other color pebble watch that is not round. At 1/4th the cost of the Apple watch, this is a great alternative. The pebble time uses the butons for back, select, up and down. it charges very quickly which is another nice feature. Good light weight watch. The watch is a bridge between both the android and ios world. It works good on apple ios but it still needs more work to be full functional ios watch. People say that android will get better results. I will say that the watch works pretty well and battery life is around 2 days before it needs to be charged. I wish apple would give more access to system to the watch. What you can do on ios is receive notifications from phone app see the time. Reading texts on ios is still in development and count your steps while wearing it as well as track hours slept. Pebble is good cheaper alternative to high priced smart watch but i think as the develop more updates the watch will get better. I think if you want a smart watch that looks like a watch and dont mind waiting for software development and short battery life than the watch might work for you if using ios. If your using android I think you might be able to use some of the other features that are available with watch. Good watch but i think it isnt for everyone if you want a more feature rich device than get a device that is made specifically for you phones operating system.Read full review

Thinking of a SmartWatch? Want something that doesn't scream you can afford a $400 watch? The Pebble Time Round looks great and has just enough features to be very useful. Now I don't have to look at my iPhone every time a call or text comes through. Pebble just updated the iPhone app which gives a lot more control over what the watch does and doesn't show. Most of the time I just want to know the time.

The Pebble Time Round is one of the slimmest smartwatches on the planet. It does all the basic things right, like notifications, time keeping, and other basic smartwatch features. It is thin, light, and you'll hardly notice it's there when you're wearing it. Charge time is very fast, and battery life is around 2 days, which is okay for most. I would be happy using this as my daily driver and could recommend this to anyone looking for a smartwatch.
