All the older Ping models are fantastic and the ISI is no exception.
With the marketing effort companies make to get consumers to buy their latest product, we can easily forget how good some older models really are. The Ping clubs from the 80's and 90's especially fall into that category. I used a set of Ping Eye irons for over 20 years, loved them, and ditched them thinking I needed to update my equipment. Yada, yada, yada, about 20 sets later I'm back to an older set of Pings and I feel like I'm home again. The ISI model does everything well for me...distance, control, confidence at address. It has the stock ZZ-65 shaft which I think is absolutely fantastic. The Becu model is aesthetically very appealing to me, but I think any of the other ISI models would feel and perform as well without paying the premium for the rarity of this metal.

These are some of PING's best irons ever. True Classics
These are some classic clubs. They are some of the best Pings irons ever made if you like to shape the ball. I currently play my Ping Raptures and they are by far the easiest Pings I have ever played, but the Ping ISI Beryllium Copper irons are right up there. I like to take these Ping ISI Beryllium Copper irons out to the course every once in a while and play a round with them. Everyone wants to take a swing with them. They really attract a lot of attention. These irons were manufactures by Ping back in 1996 and were ahead of their time. Ping made these in three materials, Beryllium Copper, Stainless Steel and Beryllium Nickel. I have hit all three clubs and the Copper are by far the best, hands down. Product Description • Copper construction provides better players maximum information to execute delicate and shaped shots • High-density metal allows for forgiving weight distribution, yet in a midsize head • Oval cavity section and radiating “fingers” reduce vibration on mis-hits About PING Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm. Club Head Material: Beryllium Copper Read full review

They are the closest you can come to a real muscleback forged iron feel.
These are classic Ping irons which are easy to swing and work the ball. Mine have senior shafts and are light and solid on every type of hit. The berrylium feel is the closest I've felt to a muscleback forged iron. I highly recommend them to any senior who still plays a lot of golf.

these clubs are golf technology at its best
the confidence in the way it looks in your hands, It just feels that no matter where your golf game is at, these clubs will take you to the next level.even though these are the first of its kind with square grooves, its technology and performance are what started the war in club inovation we still see today. We have access to great golf clubs today from many different manufacturers, the shafts and metals available to make percision weighted golf clubs is just incredible, yet these Be/Cu's still hold there own. You know sometimes its just harder to make things better.

Ping ISI Beryllium Copper Iron 3-PW Black Dot
I love these clubs. I chose the Black dot for standard lie angle. They are used clubs (of course), but well maintained and clean. As long as you don't swing too hard (as we all know) these clubs put the ball where you want it. The softer metal seems to dampen the impact at contact and it feela as though I have a little more control of the ball. I used to play with the original Black dot steel cavity back Pings (35+ years old or so) and loved them too. I own a set of Tony Penna's which just sit because Ping won me over when I started playing with my grandfather over thirty years ago. The Ping ISI BECU clubs are a great conversation piece as well. Many set available on Ebay. Just wait for your set to be listed! I was even able to find a matching Lob Wedge to go with the set (also on Ebay)! Read full review
