The service was excellant and the quality of the clubs was very good,... although I will have to have them regripped. Not a big problem. I like the feel of the ball on these clubs expecially the higher irons where touch is so important. These are older style clubs that don't have the bulkiness of the newer types. I am about a 15 handicap and I find the 4,5 and 6 irons a little thin on muscle as my swing speed it not that great. These are shot makers clubs and we all know how important the short game is. I sold my Racs to a fellow who had just bought the newest Pings out there and he said he found little difference between the new ones and his own set of Ping Eye 2's. He bought the Racs because he was tired of lugging clubs back and forth between residences and thought he would try something a little heavier. If you are a low handicapper then look for a set of these and you will surprise yourself with their feel.
No hoops or surprises here. These are just go...od basic clubs. Given their basic cavity, they perform well. I find that I can correct for fade fairly easily and hit these totally on line too. I re-gripped mine and I love the addition. I can hold them loosely and feel comfortable without sending the club off into orbit. They definitely have a high club-head speed so I found myself relaxing on my swing... If I pushed them, they sliced... Basically, if you're a basic-good golfer with a predictable swing; these rock! If you're a beginner...expect some lag time. I usually shoot a 86-96 on any given day and these don't take anything away. If you can find them for a good price...get them!!! They will improve your basic game and make you more consistent...
Buying a set of Ping Eye 2 irons is like going back to t...he future. Having played the best golf of my life 15 years ago with a set of these, and playing poorly this year, I decided to give them a try. Despite having maybe 5 or 6 sets of irons in the interim, it's hard to beat the playability and enjoyment of these irons. It bought back many fine memories and shots as I took them out for a try when they arrived. It was sad to learn that the poor play unfortunately was not a result of the clubs, but perhaps the player. It was nice to put the old clubs in my hands and have them in the bag. One thing to look at is that the lofts of the irons are considerably less than todays irons. In general, you have to take one more iron on every shot.
These clubs have the best feeling to hold but they're quite... lightweight and their lie angle is strong. As a result, these clubs are much more sensitive to a slightly bad swing than your common standard beginner /intermediate clubs which have less lie angle and a little more weight for distance.

The reason why i bought the item is primarily ...to replace my old Ping clubs. I have tried using Ping Eye2 and I am quite satisfied with its performance. What I really wanted to own was a Ping S59 but i cannot afford it. To date, I am still in the process of "getting used to the new club". I have also noticed an additional 10 yds in my distance. Though the grip is not in its original state, replaced, I like it. I love using my new club that I take extra care of it, I even bought a face cover. For me, I am satisfied with the club.
