I have played golf for... over 50 years. My index is 8.9 and this Ping 1-20 is the best three wood I have hit. Good distance, and you can hit it high with all carry and little roll or low with lots of roll. you can work the ball left or right. In the early 90s, Sonartec made a 14 degree 3 wood with a Fujikara shaft and that is the only 3 wood that could compare to this Ping I20. This club has a smaller head than most 3 woods and is as easy to hit as my Ping G25 hybrids.
Great fairway club, has strong ball flight and v...ery easy to hit. I have the 14* w/Project X shaft and use it off the tee as well as hitting into those long par 5's. Very workable with solid distance and great feedback as well as added forgiveness. I am extremely confident with this club and I love the look at address along with the sound & feel of all the Ping i20 woods!
I first purchased the Ping i20 d...river with the Ping 707d stiff shaft and absolutely loved the medium height trajectory and longer distance that I got from it that I purchased the Ping i20 3 wood as well as a 17 degree hybrid and 20 degree hybrid. That completes my woods and hybrids now and the black shaft and clubface look awesome. I hit all these clubs sguare and down the middle of the fairway. That didn't happen before with any metals or hybrids that I owned.
Bought this c...lub to go with a Ping i20 driver that I had purchased previously. This is a great fairway metal. The weights in the back of the sole tend to cause the ball to launch high. It is an easy club for me to hit. Ping clubs are quality golf clubs! This is not the latest model in the Ping lineup, but it is a very worthy model for the average golfer. You will see the nomenclature (i20) displayed on the caps of the pros who are using Ping clubs, so it is not an outdated model.
I purchased the 15 degree 3 wood and love it. Great off the tee and ...amazing off the fairway! This 3 wood is very long. I have stock reg flex shaft and love it. 12 hcp player if it helps.
