I use this lens as a "tube lens" with infinite microscope objectives using an adapter (49mm filter threads) for extreme macro work. The images I've produced with this lens are sharp. f/8 seems to be the sweet spot from my experience. As a tube lens it works well with APS-C or equivalent sensors. However, there is too much vignetting when used with a full-frame sensor. I haven't used it as a stand alone lens yet, but I suspect its images would be similarly sharp.

Going back to film, I wanted this lens for a long time, it is very compact and solidly built. Perfect companion for my Pentax P3 and P3n bodies, Very clean inside and out for a vintage lens.

Now this version is rare. I bought it in as-is condition with very cheap price. There is many fungus inside on both front and rear lens group. I have to disassemble and clean. Lucky that it is not difficult. After cleaning, it becomes a very good lens and I really like those pictures take with it. I sold it because I bought a 135/2.5 later. Even though, I also think it is really good and I'm lucky to have it for a short time. If I can find another in the future with reasonable price, I will buy it again.
