Onkyo has always made very good home theater receive...rs. The TX SR603X is no exception. It is a few years old, so it does not include HDMI switching. The upconversion of composite and s-video to component video is great - i'm only using one input on my tv now, and everything looks better. sound is awesome, this receiver has a multitude of adjustments, including individual 5 band eq's for each channel. the remote is good for controlling most gear, not much luck with a Dish DVR yet, no big deal. very well made, you can't go wrong with Onkyo.
This is a great amplifier, but the one sent to me has a loud ...buzz and is missing the "enter" button. Not the way to sell stereo equipment.

onkyo is top of the line, I am very satisfied at the... performance and the looks. It was time for me to upgrade my sound system and get in to the new technology, I was only using the old rca inputs and cables, now I went to coaxial digital and optical etc. It really makes a big difference.
