Overall, I really like this and find that it will be convenient to store my DSLR in my side opening bag for a quick grab. Don't let the long 'CONS' influence you otherwise, it's just a little detailed. PROS: Appears to be well built and sturdy. Comes with 'almost universal' clip connection. CONS: Neoprene is heat and sweat retaining. 'Universal' Op/Tech clips are theoretically compatible with other Op/Tech clips . . . Pictures show the Wrist Strap being used on the right wrist, which is where you would want it for almost all D/SLR camers; the camera strap/clip is 'female' and the wrist strap/clip is 'male'. However, if you buy the "OP/TECH USA UTILITY STRAP SLING - BLACK (Uni-Loop Connector) MPN: 3501242" you are unable to use it with both enclosed clips IF YOU ARE ALSO USING THE WRIST STRAP. The sling mounts one way only - over the left shoulder, camera at your right side and has two clips. Unless you mount the camera upside down, or only use one clip, you must buy 'male/female' adapters to make the Utility Strap compatible with the Wrist Strap. Come on Op/Tech, NOBODY ever though about reversing the two clips, or making them reversible?Read full review

Much prefer this wrist strap to the conventional over the shoulder or around the neck straps. My camera is always ready and at hand with no bouncing against my body. The strap is secure and I can just let go of the camera with no fear that it is going to drop to the ground. This leaves both hands free although I do need to remember there is a camera hanging from my wrist which can occasionally get in the way. I have used this strap exclusively from the day I received it and would certainly but it again.

Nice strap for my camera, works like a charm and now I won't lose the camera because it will be secured to my wrist while I take pictures. Best for smaller, lightweight cameras and similar equipment.

I do a lot of my shooting around water, so a dropped camera can mean total loss. For me this is a safety tether. A hand grip could also accomplish that, but with the wrist strap, I can let go of the camera and have both hands free when necessary. Since I am usually shooting a DSLR with battery pack and a zoom lens I don't use it to allow the camera to dangle from my wrist as I move around--too much weight. (If you are using a point-and-shoot it would be fine for that.)

I've used OP/TECH Straps exclusively since 1991 without issue. I have used these wrist straps for the past few years for weddings and they are really comfortable. Op/Tech straps are durable too I still have and use my first op/tech press strap which is 25 years old!
