nokia 710 phone
This is everything I expected and more. What a good buy for me.

Good Phone. Easy to use and good price.
It's a great phone. I bought it because my previous phone was broken, and I didn't want to shell out for a new model at the T-mobile retailer only three months before my contract expires. I like how easy it is to set up and use. I don't understand why there is a search button that takes me to Bing, but it's not a big deal. The only issue I have with the phone so far is that it doesn't allow me to resend or forward texts, or even copy/paste them once they have been sent. Still, I prefer this phone to my old Blackberry. I also advise you to just pay for shipping if you need the phone urgently even though Fast and Free shipping is offered. I payed for the phone on a Monday and was told to expect it on or before Friday of that week. It was part of the reason I bought this phone. I didn't get it until the next Tuesday and, it was supposedly shipping from a city 11 miles away from me.Read full review
Great starter smartphone with only minor glitches.
This is my second Lumina 710, for what I do this phone is great. The two things that could be improved in my opinion are the camera and the power button. The photos are not as quality and accessing the camera can be difficult if you are in a hurry. The power button, which wakes the phone up from sleep mode is sticky and I have had issues with it on both phones. Otherwise it is a great phone, great for people making the crossover to smartphones and those who like windows.
Charging Port ALWAYS breaks... Beware
This phone has a known history for broken charging ports, actually I had to buy 4 (3 710's and 1 810) and all ceased to work for the same problem... It wouldn't charge. The cord was not the problem, trust me, I tried everything. Upon googling "Nokia Lumia broken charging port", a slew of results showed the same problem happening with alot of people, upset because it was not considered repairable under warranty. It is a cheaply made, flawed feature. The phone itself is otherwise good but what good is a phone that doesn't charge????? I finally switched to LG Optimus and had no problems. Nokia.... you suck!!!!
Does what I need it to, nothing more
I took a chance on a windows phone as I am more familiar with Android based phones. I bought this phone from ebay instead of my carrier as all of their smart phones are $200 or more since they did away with contract renewals. I would say overall this phone does everything I need it to. I would like to see improvements for deleting text messages and calls as the only way to delete texts is by holding your finger on the thread you want to delete until the menu pops up giving you the option. There is no way to select multiple threads all at once, at least no where that I have been able to find. As for deleting the call logs you have the choice to delete all otherwise you have to select and delete each one individually. I am not on any of the social networking sites so I cannot tell you if it serves those purposes well however there are several options to tag and add things to various sites. I like the fact that all apps are removable on this phone and you are not stuck with the factory loaded apps as I was with my previous android phone. One thing I miss is the lack of apps on the windows market. Particularly the call block one and some retail and banking apps. I imagine after it has been out for a while the market may continue to grow. The battery life seems below average. Considering I don't tweet, facebook, or instagram I am surprised at the battery life on this device. Just between calls, texts, and emails, I can nearly drain my phone at the end of the day. Some days require a charge at lunch time. I hear you shouldn't charge your phone unless the battery is almost gone but I found if I skip a charging I am certainly digging for my charger by lunch time. Also, this phone took some getting used to after switching from an android phone but as I said earlier it does everything I need it to so I suppose I will keep it around. Not sure if I will purchase another windows phone unless the app market and earlier mentioned issues are fixed. I selected yes to recommending because it is not a horrible phone but I would only recommend it if your needs are somewhat limited.Read full review
