These are really comfortable to play, especially compared to the original square shaped ones. One of the two controllers has a little problem with quick repeated hits. My real complaint is a loose connection to the original Nintendo. There is no satisfying “fit” when plugged in and it’s always a little jiggly in place. One of the two required being pushed really hard into the socket to make a connection initially. Again, once connected they perform well.

It is a decent controller for the price, the construction is decent and the buttons are satisfying to press however I noticed the following issues and you need to okay with these before purchasing. 1) It does not have a round 'bearing' to rock against under the D-pad button's center. This means unlike official Nintendo controllers, it is actually possible to push 4 directions at the same time while on official controllers, the bearing would prevent Left from being pushed at the same time as right. 2) It feels rather light compared to an official controller 3) The Start and Select buttons are plastic, not rubber like the official controller 4) The D pad is not held in place by many plastic 'gates'. This means it can shift around quite a bit in its place.

I also have the original model NES-004 controller and frequently switch between both. I do love the feel of the dogbone controller compared to the way the original feels in hand, but there are some games that require you to press the B and A buttons at the same time. This might be difficult to do for some players while holding the dogbone controller normally. Some might need to angle the controller a little to the left or right, depending on what is more comfortable.

This is a great controller considering it's the first time I've used one of these version of the controller's because I only used the box controller back in the 80's and never got my hands on the dog bone controller until now. It's just too bad I could only find one of the separately and that it's so rare because no one seems to be manufacturing these or anything like it that would be compatible anymore, which means I probably don't want to let anyone use it that will break it. Also it's too bad that these controller's weren't plug'n play because it you disconnect it the system malfunctions and won't let you un pause or plug the controller back in and continue where you were.

Very cheaply made, light weight. Directional controls are barely functional, unresponsive, D-pad is not tight and moves around loosely. Every time I want to go to the right, it go left. Only the B and A buttons seems to work right now. Try to find an original Nintendo licensed controller instead.
