I bought a several mouse on eBay, and this is the most amazing well design mouse I ever got. 1. Very reasonable price from this seller, 2. very smooth control feeling, excellent products, highly recommend to buy this.

I like the shape and the visual aesthetic of the lighting, and the effort to press the buttons seems just about right, but I find the scroll wheel to be too stiff and notchy - it produces an unpleasant sensation, particularly when scrolling quickly. I find myself wondering if I could modify it to be smoother, but then one shouldn't' have to modify a new mouse just to make it as good as an older one from the same company. If one likes a lot of tactile feedback, then perhaps one would like this scroll wheel. The tracking is okay, although I can't say that the blue LED tracks noticeably better than the red one. And I feel that I have to mention that the cable is not up to the high standard that Microsoft themselves set "back in the day". Those early mice had a cord that was beautifully compliant and easy to manage. By comparison, this one has retained part of the shape from when it was coiled up in the box. It is also a little bit sticky, so dust sticks to it and I can feel it dragging on the desk. These are all things that Microsoft knows how to fix, because they've already done so in the past. Disappointing to me that things like this keep getting worse instead of better. It is a perfect example of how "checking all of the boxes" does not relate directly to actual goodness.. And while I wouldn't knock off a star, in low lighting, it just looks like a gray blob. The previous design had enough contrast between the colors to look more distinctive. And one other thought - the mouse uses soft-touch materials, which seem nice, but it seems like such materials degrade rather quickly over time, so only time will tell if that will be true with this mouse. But judging from the lack of attention to the materials used for the cable and the tactile feedback from the scroll wheel, it seems unlikely that MS would have chosen the very finest material for this part. I am hoping that the scroll wheel "wears in".before the soft-touch "wears out".Read full review

great replacement for my old one that is not supported in Win 7. Hope this one lasts as long. I'm right handed so fits me great. Easily customized with software downloaded from Microsoft.

The mouse was not usable by me because I am left handed and need an ambidextrous mouse and it would not work on Windows XP. However, most people are right handled and probably can not remember when they had a computer running that dated operating system. I gave three stars trying to be fair to the product, because most people would probably have been happy with it.
