This model of mouse was much better when still in production and new. Failure rates were fairly low, though Logitech mice have always had issues and will fail sooner or later. These Refurbished mice take the failure rates much higher. One mouse had the Right Click fail to stay held down after only a couple months of light usage. The second Refurbished I got I didn't try for over a month, and when I did, found the middle mouse button has no click feel to it and barely moves when pressing down. It still works, but feels wrong and it is hard to tell anything is happening.

Recommended. I purchased three of these used G700's. All were functionally perfect with the scroll wheel and all buttons functioning perfectly. None exhibited the single-left-click-generates-a-double-click problem (which indicates that the Chinese-made switch needs to be replaced with a Japanese-made switch – I’ve repaired two of my four older, heavily-used G700’s). Cosmetically two of the three G700’s were pristine and one had minor (minor!) scuffing on the top. The provided cables serve the purpose (I operate wired, not wireless) and I like the short length of the mini-USB (micro-USB?) cable which connects to the mouse. (That cable is a generic USB cable rather than the custom-molded connector of the original Logitech cable.) Prior to purchasing these three used G700’s, I researched new mice and saw nothing better than the G700. Mice which came close to the G700 features/geometry were very pricey at $150 - $200 (In 2012 I paid $70 - $80 each for my four G700’s.). And even then many users of currently-available new mice were dissatisfied with either the quality and/or the Logitech design changes. Note that the single-left-click-generates-a-double-click problem is a risk even with a new mouse; those problematic Chinese-made Omron micro switches are still being installed in new mice. The G700 which I have used the most for the last six years has not exhibited the problem, whereas two lesser-used G700’s did. So I purchased three of these used G700’s, one to replace a dead Mionix NAOS 5000 (I never liked the geometry anyway) and two as spares. So that gives me a total of seven G700’s (plus a Logitech MX-518 which came with an Asus laptop). Obviously I like these mice.Read full review

I love the mouse but the unit was very worn. The wheel didn't click or ratchet and the buttons are very mushy. Also, the charging cord is too short so I can't leave it plugged in while using. This is my preferred way of using the mouse.

Thanks. I'm glad these mice work great. The 700 has the best configuration imo.

Unlike a regular battery operated mouse you have to turn it off when not using it or you will have a dead mouse by next day.
