- Product InformationThe Lenovo ThinkPad T400 is a black, 14.1-inch laptop running the Windows Vista Business operating system. This ENERGY STAR-qualified Lenovo ThinkPad notebook is equipped with a 14.1-inch, active matrix, TFT, LCD display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The Lenovo ThinkPad T400 is powered by a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo dual-core processor with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. A maximum of 8 GB of RAM can be utilized by this laptop, and it can be upgraded by the buyer if needed. The storage on this 14.1-inch laptop is handled by a 150 GB hard drive. The buyer can access additional media content through the DVD SuperMulti optical drive or three USB ports. The run time for this notebook is estimated to be about 6.5 hours of use with the 6-cell Li-ion battery. Internet connectivity for this Lenovo ThinkPad notebook is available via a RJ-45 LAN interface, RJ-11 modem slot, or the integrated 802.11 a/b/n/g Wi-Fi. Bluetooth technology along with a VGA, FireWire, D-sub and two audio ports are included for linking to external devices. There Is Everything To Like About This Computer
There is everything to like about this product, from the dealer it was purchased through, to the response from the manufacturer. My principal use of this laptop is to Beta test new / revised software, and for that you just can't beat this machine. To begin with, this computer comes with Windows 7, meaning that it'll be upgradeable to Windows 10 for free; and of course, Windows 7 is far better that Windows 8 or 8.1! Secondly, the computer is packed with features, and where it might lag behind some of the newer machines, it is easily upgradeable. For example, it comes with WiFi abg, but not 'n'- So I purchased a WiFi adapter, plugged it in, and my machine now cruises at 30 Mbps. And Lenovo has been great, being able to access continuing updates and support documents through daily updates. Unlike many manufacturers, Lenovo allows for 'secondary' users to sign up for updates and software, e.g., I purchased a refurbished Lenovo machine that I can still register as its 'new' owner. Consider too, that the machine comes with a 1 year warranty - the same as most new computers give you today. Leaving you with an excellent machine that's warrantied to today's standard. Lenovo T400with loads of fun & great traveling partner
This has it all in a compact size.. This is the same laptop as it's brother T500..Just a little smaller screen & body size. Just maintain this machine at least once a year as far as cleaning air ducts out (helps keep cpu from over heating). Hands down, I own now 4 of the latest Lenovo machines & have owned IBM/Lenovo machines now since 1999.. I have found over the years IBM/Lenovo build the best & least problematic machines !!! The only negative about this is, the rubber base paint. But the durability & reliability out weights the negative !!!

Good bang for your buck
The T400 is everything the seller and manufacturer has promised. The speed is adequate, screen size is good, Wi-Fi reception has been very good. Battery will last about 90 minutes with full usage. Just a little heavy. Over all I would give it a 4 and a half stars.

Great deal on a nice PC It was everything the seller said it would be.
I bought this for my daughter to use for school. It does the job. I love it. It is a good quality computer. With an Intel processor. It should last her for four years.

Product needs repairs
I received the Lenovo very quickly after ordering it, but was unable to use it until about 3 weeks later. I discovered upon booting the machine, a message appeared stating there is a problem with the fan. If I lifted the Lenovo and placed it back down, the message did not reappear until booting the next time. I will be taking it to The Geek Squad tomorrow to ascertain the problem. This is very inconvenient.
