About this product
- Product InformationFour weary humans work together in an apocalyptic world overrun by grotesque zombies in Left 4 Dead 2. Along with new protagonists and five new campaigns, this PC game also offers more enemy types to battle and a host of new weapons and tools to improve your chances of survival, including a katana, a baseball bat, and a defibrillator to revive fallen foes. In each campaign area--whether Coney Island-style amusement park or Louisiana Bayou--lurks distinct enemies to face. The "Dark Carnival" campaign, for example, features zombies wearing clown makeup, while in "Swamp Fever" there are creatures known as mudmen. In addition to the original‘s co-op campaigns, survival mode, and versus mode, Left 4 Dead 2 introduces a new multiplayer mode entitled "scavenge." Team up with your friends and strive together for survival in a world filled with danger.

We could not get the game to download to the PC this was the second Left 4 Dead 2 game I have purchased from ebay and it would not download. The other games that I purchased downloaded with no problem but these games would not. I was not happy at all especially since this game was bought as a Christmas present for my grandson and he was disappointed.

Let 4 Dead 2 at least a must try and always fun (mac)
What I like most about this game is the fact that it's a zombie game. It also has a variety of multiplayer game play and very interactive. This is very much so worth it when it's on sale (Which usually means that it's only about 5 dollars for windows. I play it on my mac and it's still amazing! The mac version runs very smooth and everything works perfectly. Although a bit old now the story line is still pretty awesome and when it's on sell it's a pretty good investment.

Just had to purchase... best co-op game right now!
I don't play video games much due to work and school, but this game is just ridiculously addicting. My fiance's little brother introduced it to me when we visited an internet cafe, and without realizing it, we spent 4 hours playing the game. I went back there to play it a second time, and promptly bought a disk to play on Steam at home. Wikipedia offers a very comprehensive account of the game play, production, and history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_4_Dead_2 -- I will try to go over my experiences with L4D2 in summary. So, about the actual game! L4D2 is mainly a multiplayer game in which you shoot hordes of zombies (called "infected") that come racing to find you and the other three survivors you're traveling with (the other three can either be PC-controlled, other Steam/LAN players, or, if you're willing to figure out split screen configs, two player on one PC w/ a Xbox 360 controller plugged in: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=745113&highlight=Split+Screen). Depending on what mode you're playing, you can win in different ways (for example, reaching the different safehouses, which completes a stage, and ultimately finishing a campaign by completing the tasks the game requires you to do to signal help or break through to escape). L4D2 is predominantly played online, where you can play differing modes (campaign, survivor, versus, and scavenge). Co-operative play is strongly encouraged, if not essential-- there are special infected that have the ability to grab, gorge, charge, spit, slice, or smash you to death... and without the help of your teammates, you will certainly become incapacitated, and eventually die if not revived in time (again, stay very very close to your teammates). Much of the fun is unlocking the achievements on Steam. This aspect of gameplay makes for a more interesting set of decisions while going through the levels. It's important that you meet the system requirements for the game-- if you can run the game on a 32 bit system, it is probably better, since it takes up less RAM while playing (1GB min. req. for 32/86x v. 2GB min. req. for 64x). I am actually playing L4D2 on a MacBook using Bootcamp and Windows XP SP3 to take advantage of the graphics card. The game works flawlessly with great graphics thus far (I've played mainly campaign and one session involving playing as the special infected). I highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys first person shooters and has always wanted to work co-op, yet have a good opportunity to shoot many an enemy (unlike in Day of Defeat, Counter Strike, or Team Fortress, where you're restricted to only shooting the finite number of players available). I do not recommend this game for the family, little children, easily impressionable teens, or anyone who is sqeamish about blood, gore, killing, or a zombie apocalypse. Otherwise, this game gets a 9.8/10. The missing 0.2 is due to the fact that there's no way to save unless you reach a safehouse. But that's just me being nit picky... Read full review

Left 4 Dead 2 PC
This is the game many of us have always dreamed of. If you like Zombies, absolute carnage and bloody mayhem this is the game for you. Online co-operative campaign is excellent. The key to success is good co-operation and teamwork. There are numerous weapons available and there is nothing more gratifying than a well placed Molotov cocktail that will burn up hordes of the infected. This game has some excellent humour. The graphics are superb as is the sound and playability. There are many different game modes to enjoy and some very challenging achievements to be earned. One thing I really like is that when playing online you can take a break or go idle to go afk (yes even online gamers need to go get a drink or use the toilet) The computer AI takes over and in L4D2 the AI is very good indeed. I was surprised how well the AI plays. This is an excellent game all round and well worth every penny. It never grows old and I am sure I will be playing this for a very long time indeed. One of the best games I have ever played. I hope Valve release Left for Dead 3 in due course. Read full review
