Easy to use but has NO memory space.
This phone sucks. I got this phone because I had to replace my last one. It has NO memory space. I use a memory card and move over any apps I can onto my memory card so I can download the apps I use on a regular basis but I cant download half of the apps I like to use because there is "insufficient space". On a positive note, I was glad to have gotten this phone when I did because not even 10 minutes after I got my number switched over someone stole my old phone and wallet. Go with your gut, if you don't care about memory space but want a phone that is easy to use, this will be fine.
Great starter smartphone without a contract!
This is a good little starter smartphone. I had not had a smartphone before and couldn't afford to get locked into an expensive contract, so I chose to try out this one until I could upgrade. The phone has excellent reception, very clear calls. It has the android 2.3 OS, which I was already familiar with from a tablet I have had a couple of years. I love having access to Google Play Store since it has a good selection of free and paid apps to allow you to do a little more to personalize the phone. I love being able to have the kindle and nook apps for when I have a bit of free time. The processor is not real fast which means you can watch things on YouTube but not Netflix. You do not have a lot of internal memory. Even though you can use an sd card, there are apps that will not move over to the sd card or part of their function remains on the internal memory. You can have several apps, just don't expect to be able to add as many as the more expensive, and newer, phones can hold. The good thing is, with an sd card, you can hold plenty of books and music for when you aren't using the phone as a phone and messenger.Read full review
Overall, very satisfied with phone.
I have used several different phones thru the years and wanted to try an Anroid. The LG Optimus can be purchased at a good price and features are great once you learn them. ICONS on phone, as in most I have seen, are too small. Battery life too short without option of extended battery. I actually play games more than talk or text. I live in forrested area and calls are frequently dropped even though phone shows all bars. Phone does not get as good of connection/signal strenth as some of my other phones, like the motorola IDEN phones. But, I have no problem in town.
Fast phone for the price!
I will tell you this. this phone is faster then the standard optimus one phones. I have it rooted too which makes me have more apps on it. I also loaded adobe flash and it works only with the UCBrowser. that is the only bad part but hey it's not suppose to have adobe flash support in the first place so I will take what I can get on it. Overall I got this phone brand new for 79.99 you can't go wrong. I love it. I would have had a problem with it if it was slower Just like the samusung Intercept. that phone is way slow and freezes up on you. Optimus Net runs through applications fast fast downloads, no freezes at all. 800Mhz still a arm6 but fast because of the 800Mhz Buy it!!!!!!
I can't really rate this phone. I'm sure this would be a great phone had I been able to use it. I was searching for a CDMA phone. Sellers fail to mention that there are three data types, GSM(at&t), CDMA-V(Verizon), & CDMA-S(Sprint). Not one review or seller I compaired this phone with made a mention to this fact. As we are Sprint-less in my area, the phone is a just a cool looking paperweight. LG Optimus Net Android Prepaid Phone (Net10)
