This is a really good phone if you don't want to be bothered with a new type of smart phone, want great reception and a real keyboard for easy texts. It also has the ability to access the "Mobile Web" which is good for light internet searches and quick access to your Verizon Account.

Replacing my worn LG Cosmos II this phone is a disappointment. The keyboard and texting work well enough but the sound level and microphone are poor. I usually carry the phone in my pocket and cannot hear incoming calls because the speakers are enclosed inside, exposed only when you open the flip. The microphone is located in the left edge and the calling/ receiving party cannot hear me unless I move the end of the phone to my mouth. To have a conversation one has to move the phone between flip open to an ear to hear and left end to the mouth to speak and be heard. To get battery life ring tones, reminders and such are very short. My old LG Cosmos really hollered with its ring tone and people could always hear me - a much better designed phone. I purchased a Blue Tooth LG HBS-750 to overcome these problems. It works OK but is cumbersome unless you leave the earplugs in. I finally bit the bullet and am moving to an Apple iPhone.Read full review

LG EnV2 VX9100 S.W.O.T Strengths as far as the eye can see that are usable features include the beautifully assembled and designed keyboard. This keyboard is one that has been very popular which I keep buying. I desire a keyboard that is built slim and is spaceable to use. A+ Qwerty Keyboard Design, Feel, Abilities. One strength that this has over many other competing cellulars is the advantages of simplified usage. I can browse the internet on my large enough to view screen with a flip and push of a button, I can then play my music with a pre-programmed button and do what I do best, text, at a comfortable conveniences. This is a stylish, easy to use piece of technology which will be a favorite for many upgrades to come. A+ A weakness that I feel this phone has is the compatibility of it's gps software to work with other cdma providers. I have noticed that some of the latest phones gps software is compatible to other cdma providers which I do appreciate most. That is the only weakness that I feel has bothered me in my LG EnV2 Experience. D- This phone, I believe has no threats, as of what has been released, against non-touch flip keyboarded cdma cellulars. This is the best qwerty keyboard flip that in non-touch. A+ Opportunities are endless with the LG EnV once you figure out all of the possible advantages for a non-touch qwerty flip. Pros: keyboard, speakers, battery life, customizations (endless shortcuts that you can choose from), storage capacity, durability, reception Cons: camera is in a somewhat awkward location because my finger seems to always rest on the lens Summary: purchased this phone with a 2-yr renewal, and have had it for a little under a week now. sound quality and reception is amazing. even on speakerphone, i'm told it sounds like a land line. the full QWERTY keyboard is handy and feels very natural; i've been texting a lot more because this is so much faster than T9 predictive text. although the camera is great, it's in a spot that happens to sit right beneath my fingers when i have the phone open.. so, a little tricky in that regard, but that's really grasping at straws obviously. ringtones are loud and clearly audible. the front screen could stand to be a tad bigger, but it's still highly functional and has fantastic resolution. i purchsed the mobile email for $5 a month, so it's like a blackberry, but far more user-friendly. a useful little feature of this phone is a service verizon offers for free called vcast songID. it's song recognition software that's free. i even set it as a shortcut so that i can identify a song with the touch of a single key. as a stand-alone phone, it's stellar. between the ever-lasting battery life, sound quality, and reception, it's worth every penny. factor in the size and comfort of it in your hands, and it's the best phone around; not to mention the operating system is easy to use and makes sense. make no mistake... this is so much more than a phone. it's a multimedia/emailing/messaging machine that will keep you in contact with everyone you know, and amuse you all the whileRead full review
I was looking for a new Verizon phone that would enable me to do all things I love to do with a mobile phone. I enjoy texting all of my buddies, and the full, four-row, easy to use qwerty keyboard allows me to do that. It has a incredible stereo sound system that allows for the crystal clear sound quality for both the music on the music player and ringtones. It has an option to choose just regular 1X data coverage or EVDO data to browse tones of music with VCast, and browse through and download applications to your phone fast. The outside of the phone features a standard keypad, for texting and dialing on the phone when it is closed. The only thing I don't like with this keypad is the directional menu button on the outside only has an up and down option, preventing me to scroll either forwards or backwards, character by character, in a text message. It's a little annoying when trying to send a quick message and I may mess up something that I can't scroll back to, but other than that, the outside of the phone is fine. Bluetooth technology is a bit screwy with this phone, and that really bothers me, but I try not to need to use Bluetooth, because there is no telling when it is or is not going to work. The only other thing with this phone I do not like, and is probably Verizon's fault is the phone only stores your most recent call to a person. So if you call someone once, and then call the same number again, the phone is only going to keep a record of the most recent call to that number. Other than these three glitches with the EnV2, I cannot think of any other problems. I love this phone and I think it is the perfect one for me.Read full review
