I wanted a flash for a Minolta XD11 that I recently bought, so I looked up the different flashes Minolta offered that were released around the same time that the XD11 was, and that were compatible with it. I found this flash, and it seemed like a great mid-range, decently-priced flash. I wanted to have the tilt capability, and this flash had that, which was a large selling point for me. When I got it and tried it out, it worked exactly as expected. It produced a powerful flash, yet was very easy to use. All you have to do is set it on high or low power, set your film speed, and set the aperture to whatever the flash tells you; simple and straightforward. It's quite compact as well. Anyone that has a Minolta hot-shoe equipped camera that's on a budget should definitely consider this flash. A very good purchase overall.Read full review
The flash works but isn't syncing with my Minolta x700 camera. For some reason, when I mount the flash on the camera, it makes my mirror get stuck after I press the shutter release and stays in that position. This doesn't usually happen when I shoot with just the camera.

This is the perfect OEM flash companion for my Minolta XG-A camera! After 34 years, it finally has the flash it was meant to have, and not the knock-off third party Vivitar we have been using. This will really give new light (no pun intended) on our holiday photos! Easy to read, backlit dial, and a flash exposure compensation lamp takes the guesswork out of perfectly exposed photos each and every time!

the flash size is good, is very portable, it has case witch protect it. It has high power light and long battery life, but you can't change the power light.
