Like many ukesters, I have a whole stable of ukuleles, including the Makala Shark and the Makala Dolphin. They are essentially the same uke, with differences in color and bridges, but otherwise identical. These two ukes are my favorite sopranos - I would heartily recommend them for people who want a high quality, low cost uke, beginners and advanced player alike. The sustain is incredible, intonation is perfect, tone is very high quality. I really have nothing but good to say about the Makala Shark and Dolphin ukes. If you want a really fun uke, get one of these sweet babies!

These inexpensive, cheerful ukuleles have great sound and are very sturdy. They make a great starter uke and they sound as nice as some of my more expensive ukuleles. I bought one as a gift for a friend and I liked it so well that I bought one for myself.

This is a fantastic instrument! Great for beginners with an easy press but nice enough to be your daily play. It has a good clear tone with some punchy volume.

Arrived on my neice’s birthday & it was her favorite gift! She loves spending time figuring out how to play & has come along quickly with the help of a book & YouTube tutorials. So much better to make a joyful noise than to be zombied out on some screen. More people should play music!

6 year old loved this and so did my 14 and 8 year old. Now everyone wants one!
