I purchased this cookbook because I enjoy Rach...ael's "30 Minute Meals" program. I've already begun trying recipes from this book and my family has loved them so far. There is a great variety, and the book is broken down into categories, like poultry, snacks, desserts, etc. The recipes are easy to follow and are denoted as either 15-minute, 30-minute or 60-minute meals. This book won't disappoint you.
First let me say I love Rachael - she is a b...usy person's bf! I have been watching Rachael for over 2 years and she is about working w/ what you've got. I will be the first to admit I do not like everything I make of hers but the beauty of her recipes is if you do/don't like something add more or take something out. If you don't have something try this, this or this! SHe has inspired me to try things in cooking on my own that I probably would not have done had I not started watching her. This book w/ 15 minute meals is really great w/ a toddler and an infant 15 minutes is about all I have most evenings to throw together something to eat. I do want to try a nice 60 minute meal as well - when I have the time. Rach - if ya ever read this I love ya and how about a collection of your "fake-out" desserts and drink mixes.
I bought this book for my wife as a Christmas gi...ft. She had one Rachael Ray cookbook, liked it, and wanted another. So far we have had three meals from the book, and I really enjoyed them. One thing my wife has noted about RR's cook books is that it definitely takes more time to prepare the meals than indicated. The chopping and other prep work really eat into the 15, 30, 0r 60 minutes. Great food!
I bought the book as a Christmas gift for my Gr...anddaughter. She loves Rachel Ray show and is showing some interest in cooking. I like meals that can be prepared easily without wasting hours in the kitchen, but I find Rachel uses a lot of ingredients in her recipes that I usually don't keep on hand. I guess I need to increase my culinary arts as well.
If you have extra ti...me than the 15 or 20 min meals than try the others they are great and seems like the more you put into dinner the better it is...so in hindsight i still would purchase a rachel ray book, but one of her more time consuming recipes was the best though, contrary to the books titile.. but as a whole the book was very useful
