This is an Iwata, so you know there is no compromise on the q...uality.. This isn't the ideal model for fine details on smaller objects though. (0.5 mm size tip) I purchased these for a class I teach. They are one of the lowest priced models put out by Iwata. They work fine for just about anything other than doing detail work on small stuff. But the size of the image is really something to consider. This will do good details on a vehicle for example, or a wall mural.

For the price ...it is fantastic, with it's .35mm nozzle/needle you can use most paints straight out of the bottle. It is hefty and rugged with a good weight to it. Maybe not for fine art unless you can get a .2 mm nozzle/needle conversion into it (I think there is a way to do this) but your model painter will think it is a heck of a good investment.

I've been airbrushing custom RC bodies for ...about 2 years now and currently have the Iwata TRN2 Pistol Grip airbrush, the Iwata Neo CN and the BCN, along with the cheap Master Airbrushes I started out with and although this is a great airbrush and very easy to clean my Iwata Neo CN is just as good and costs about $40 less, this just gives you a bigger spray with the .5mm Needle/Nozzle. I was happy with what I had but wanted to start doing some candy paint jobs and Spazstix candy paint is Lacquer based so I wanted an airbrush specifically to use with lacquer and enamel based paints only, so I gave it a shot and it does it's job and then some. I'd start with the Neo CN first though before I'd get this if I was you.

I'm a novice airbrusher, and I am focusing on the basics, via... practice, practice, practice. The cheap (Chinese no name) airbrushes I was using, were horrible. I bought one of the "kits," that included a single action, and dual action gravity, and siphon feed airbrushes. I spent so much time trying to get the brushes to spray, that I was not practicing. After much research, I decided that the "revolution" was a good fit for me. What a difference. Paint flows, regardless of my thinning. Fine line ability, is way beyond my current ability. But the biggie, is clean-up. So much easier than my previous experience. Love my "revolution," and am back to practicing. Don't waste your time on the no-name, Chinese junk.

I've used it twice so far. It is very e...asy to use. It applies the paint evenly and works well with even a small amount of paint. And it cleans up very quickly. Based on my initial experience I would recommend it to others.
