If you're looking to read double density floppies this is a candidate
I had purchased a USB enclosed floppy drive that could not read 720KB double density floppies. On a hunch I snagged this old IBM drive and it works fabulously. Was able to get my data off those old decaying disks. Built like a truck, no external power cable needed, and it seems to read more reliably than other models I've tried.
