I am impressed with the finish. I thought if would just be primed..., instead it was painted. It fit well except the pins that hold it in place on the top are much bigger than original so they had to be drilled out. I used a 1/2" bit to do this. Also, after getting it all in place I realized it doesn't have a hole for the hand crank to fit in. If you need to use the crank then the grill has to be removed entirely. I almost broke my wrist one time using the hand crank, this will keep me from being tempted to do that again. Gary in Colorado

It did not fit like the factory grill. The top did not match the a...ngle of the hood and the bottom did not come out flush with the sides. My 8n is not a show machine but a worker, so not that big of a deal to me. It is better than no grill at all though.

Seems well made and to the correct measurements.

I ordered for my 1947 Ford 2N. It is not a good fit. Don’t co...ntour with the hood and the top pins are much larger than the original holes in my hood. Had to use zip ties to hold the top in. Only positive is my tractor isn’t a “restoration” I call it a “preservation” They should not advertise as “restoration quality” because it is not.

It is very well made and the p...rice is right. This is what I would consider a good replacement grille. I have seen the basic cheapies that did not have the hole for the crank for $49. I have seen these oval rod grilles as high as $180 and the restoration grade with the teardrop rods around $280 and higher.
