This is just a great bass for beginners (I'm 70 years old and have always played guitar but never a bass.) folks with smaller hands or those with hands that just don't stretch like they used to do. It looks great, sounds super and is just so much fun to learn on. And it's true you can't beat the price for what you get. It really is quite the bargain. I tried the Ibanez, but just too small for me. Lighter, yes, smaller, yes -- but just like this better. Now to get a hard case, which I understand is hard to find.

For 200 bucks, and free shipping, this is an outstanding good deal. Short scale neck is so fun to play. Setup wasn't bad right out of the box. Good fretwork, straight neck and low action. The stock pickups sound pretty good too. This thing looks like a toy but it's solid as a rock. Worth upgrading if you choose to? Add a higher quality bridge and pickups and this thing is gig worthy.

This is a very nicely made bass for the price. Out of the box, it didn't require anything more than a tune. It sounds good, looks good, and gets the job done. I think it's a perfect entry-level bass especially for youngsters with smaller hands thanks to the short scale.
