Lucky to have seen this hard rocking.band LIVE. This album is a diamond in the rough and should be part of every true, rock and roll, enthusiast. This band featured Ronny James Dio before he focused on heavy metal. A tremendous, rocking good time record through out. This album is a great precursor to the heavy metal genre. Ronny goes by his real last name (Padavona) but don't be confused because his songwriting, singing, and bass playing is top notch and rocks greatly with all the other fine musicians in the band.

This is elf's first record, and it is hard hitting nitty gritty rock and roll... There are some cool grooves on it especially on never more which starts out as a ballad with nice piano and eventually gets harder.Gambler gambler ends the c.d. with a cool bluesy sound.Every song is good, with some better than the others. This album has ronnie james dio's cousin david feinstein on guitar. It's the only elf album with him on guitar as he was replaced on the next two albums by steve edwards. I highly recommend the next two elf albums (carolina county ball )(released as l.a. 59 in america)....and trying to burn the sun (my personal favorite rock album). This band rocked.
It arrived and plays well

Good product, the second two Elf albums are the better of the 3 as the music goes, but this is worth having in the collection.
