I enjoyed reading Clandestine Circle because I have been reading Dragonlance books since I was a kid. They are great books whose endering heros live their lives from age to age on a place called Krynn. Krynn is a fictional planet people created inspired by Tolkien like fantasy worlds and based on the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy role playing game. The woman on the cover with the owl is Linsha Majere, grandaughter to Caramon and Tika who are the heros from the original trilogy. Herbert takes Linsha and gives her life and personality all her own! Linsha becomes a knight when it is a rare thing to have female knights on Krynn. The owl is her friend. Like Jafar and Iago from Disney's Aladin, no one but Linsha knows the owl is intelligent and can speak. Linsha's job is to pull off a double life. To the city of Sanction she is a rogue but in secret she is a spy sent from the Knights of Solamnia to learn about Sanction's mysterious new governor. Like most Dragonlance books, it may be difficult for a new reader to understand everything that's going on around this book. Every Dragonlance book tries to briefly explain some of the politics that has lead up to the one you happen to be reading.Read full review
