I'm not sure why I'm doin' this, except for I missed the Destroyer chat by drinking two beers and passing out at 7 pm central time. Anyway, I first saw Dot and the Kangaroo when I was ten years old and it really spoke to me as a child. I still thought it is wonderful 20 years later, it could be , like most things, from such a strong source, a novel, that it was easy to make move. The ideas are strong, the songs are touching and it was great to watch it then and now. I recommend it for children of all ages One bothersome detail was the songs of the ducks singing the quack song was edited out, for what reason, I don't know, but the Bunyip song was there as well as the platypus. dan ackerman
I have loved this movie since I was a little girl! I would watch this over and over!It is still one of my favorites! I look forward to watching this with my children very much. I think any child would enjoy the story and the songs. I highly recomend this to anyone. I hope your children and you love this as much as I do! I'm sure you will! Enjoy!!
this is a great kids movie, It was on heavy rotation in the late 70's/early 80's on hbo and is a sweet story. my kids will love it
This is a good movie for children under 11 or 12 as it is also educational. It gives an insight into the animals of Australia. I have played it for our special needs children who enjoy watching it. I like Dot and the Bunny better.
