I h...ave had the xm skyfi3 for about three years. I do like the features as you can record songs or shows. You also can make play lists of what you have recorded. You can schedule shows to be recorded just like a DVR. It does have its problems, If it locks up on you,you can reset it by holding the power on button and the volume up button at the same time, and it will. I have had a total of four of these radios and they all have had that issue. Don't drop it since the sceeen will quit working. The unit still works but you will have to figure out how to use it without the screen. There is a seller on ebay that will replace the screen for thirtysix dollars. I bought my last one to give to my wife to replace her skyfi2. This way she can record songs and listen to them at the gym. I also have a xm docking unit to able it to be played in the house. You can buy the headphones with the antenna built in them for listening to it without using a docking station. You can only listen to recorded and not live xm without these headphones. However it will drain the battery in about an hour. Listening to the recorded music gives you about four hours. It does charge back quickly. If you are careful with this unit it seems to do good.
I like the hi-tech, com...pact design of the product. And with a few simple connections, I'm able to listen to a large variety of musical genres. And I bought this particular style because it's versatile. I can listen in my home, in my vehicle or, when I buy the Wearable Live kit, on my person.

I am satisfied with... my purchase. The product has some minor cosmetic flaws, but other that those, the radio works fine. This product is no longer made by Sirius XM, and I lost my original one. This is the reason I purchased the product. It is easily transportable and, with the right headset with a built-in satellite antenna, a person can listen to music anywhere they can get a good satellite signal. I am disheartened that Sirius XM no longer sells this product. The only drawback is that since Sirius XM stopped making the radio, if anything happens to this radio, I do not know if I will find another that works as well as the one I purchased.
Having other Delphi XM receivers, I ...tried the SkyFi3 specifically because it can do duty as a car, home, or portable unit. I use mine daily while running and/or biking. It then goes in the auto for travel. I really like the record function so I can grab tunes while driving for replay. This is a great unit for my different purposes. I would recommend purchasing this unit over receivers that only function in vehicles or at a stationary docking setup. My unit is not "Direct Connect" so it broadcasts well to my vehicles' FM radios. The arm band and headphone/antenna also work flawlessly. My only complaint is more toward XM than this unit. I paid recording artist's fees with my XM subscription, but any tune I record I cannot transfer to listen to other than in this receiver. If I ever stop my subscription or if my receiver does not get to the satellite within a designated time limit, I lose access to all I have recorded. As I said, this is not the fault of the receiver, but inconsistent XM policy. The receiver itself is great. I have owned 2 as the first one got zapped by lightening when I was biking. I will buy another one if I lose the one I have now. ayerse
I had the SKYfi2 and it was ...ruined by water on our boat. I figured out it was too large, so I purchased this was which is small and portable. Reception is a little less than the 2 but it may have to do with it's size. The most important thing is that I can use wherever I want. If I get off the car I can take it with me, If we go out on the boat it fits in a drawer and it's safe from the elements. Overall 8 out of 10, wish it would have a better way to search for music and it would have more accessories such as a boom box you can connect it to when you're at the beach.
