I bought one of these when I retired... for my graphics and Photo work, it is perfect! Great color, sharp as a tack and a great price. So when I decided to go two screens......this was my first choice. I wasn't disappointed. It is as good as my other one.......color matches and again you can't beat the price. If you are working with images and graphics the Dell 2009W 20" is the only way to go. They run cool and there are no dead pixels rows. For the price and Res, it's the only choice for me. I might add, when I was working at Eastman Kodak as a Staff Photographer and Photoshop guy........this is what we all used and never had a complaint or problem with any of the units. I might add that 20" is perfect for working at 12" to 18".....anything bigger and you have to get way back to get the whole screen in view. 20" is perfect.
I bought this monitor for my Mom b...ecause she loves to see pictures of the family on her computer as a slide show. She can't see all that great so I went for a large monitor hoping that she could see the pictures better but I was concerned with the pictures looking washed out or faded, especially because she has on older computer and I was not sure how the video card would handle it. She loves it and I was very surprised at the picture quality! It had WAY exceded my expectations and I can honestly say that the clarity, color and sharpness are the best I have seen on any size or type of monitor that I have used so far. I also like the fact that you can turn the screen 90 degrees and it looks like a picture frame! I wish it would fit on my computer desk because I would buy one for myself. I am very impressed. I also like the fact that all the ports are easily accessable so that it acts like a port for most of your computer needs. It's one of the best purchases I have made on Ebay. Johnnydi.
I love the overall desi...gn of this flat panel monitor especially since recently upgrading from a 17 inch CRT monitor. Movies and games look amazing (after a little tweaking with the OSD menu). If you are looking for a good value you cant go wrong with this gorgeous LCD monitor. Yes, it's true that this Dell monitor is manufactured with a cheaper twisted nematic panel, which does make whatever you are looking at worse the further away you view it especially as you approach 170 degrees viewing angle. However, it's fair to say that most of us look at a monitor directly in front of us which makes the most sense when judging an LCD monitor especially for basic everyday applications. When I saw that it came with a DVI-D cable that made me realize why many other manufacturers don't offer a DVI-D cable with their LCD monitors when you have the capability to use it right out of the box.
My old monitor was 8 years old--bulky with a so-so pictu...re. This monitor has a has a tiny footprint and the picture is sharp and crisp. Others can talk about color resolution. I have a limited budget. After researching monitors on CNET and other sites, this was my second choice (out of dozens). My first choice was nearly twice the price. In this economy, I decided to spend a little less, but I don't see a comprimise in quality. I also picked a buyer with lots of ratings (and all of them positive). I spent a tiny bit more (5%)for quality assurance. Why did I wait so long?
I love this monitor. I personally have three... of them in my home, two hooked up to a Dell XPS desktop and one as an expansion monitor for my Dell Studio laptop. The screen size is perfect and has a crystal clear picture. This monitor is also very easy on your eyes for anyone who spends long hours working on a computer. I purchased two of mine directly from Dell before finding a great deal on ebay. I am currently looking for a fourth on ebay for another computer. Buy this monitor you will definitely not be disappointed.
