This processor is great and I would highly reccommend it to you.
I bought this Microprocessor to build a general gaming machine and I believe that it really suits my needs quite well. I play Skyrim, Minecraft (I get about 50-70 FPS), and many other games all on high settings and this CPU has power to spare. It is a really good choice for someone who wants to build a gaming or other high performance machine, but doesn't want to spend $400-$800 on a Core I7 Microprocessor (I bought this particular one for $90 but I believe that I just got lucky, you can usually snag one pretty easily in the $150-$300 range)It also runs my install of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition very well. Given the current state of computers these days in which the average person who only would need a Pentium 4 and Windows 2000 to do everything they need and want to do with a computer (Except for Gaming, Video editing, and High-Capacity Multimedia server applications)but is constantly told to throw away a perfectly good machine (that would otherwise need less than $100 dollars of repair in most cases to last another 5 years or longer)in favor of this hipster mentality that everyone needs to have the latest and greatest PC bundled with a touchscreen that has an interface ripping off the Apple Macintosh system software version 10.8. These kinds of previous-generation microprocessors still have plenty of power and are a great choice to build a modern gaming system and a good way to save a couple of hundred bucks on a Microprocessor for your next high-performance build.Read full review
