Not sure how it works . I tried to install till I found out I had to order the processor and it didn't work on this motherboard but works fine on the old motherboard . So now I have a brand new motherboard that can't be used . And if I send it back I'm going to lose on my purchase price due to me having to pay to send it back I would have been willing to pay a little extra to make sure it was ready for install
