Dayton Audio has made a HUGE believer out of me. Completely functional and capable in all applications, these speakers "speak" for themselves: a lot more heft than you'd expect in speakers this size, which can't help but mean to add to the excellent quality of the sound reproduction. My A/V system is entirely 4k (TV, UHD blu ray and receiver), which is a Sony 5500, rated at 750 watts. ALL my speakers in this 5.1 surround sound configuration are Dayton Audio, and the detail, definition and clarity are beyond belief, and believe me, I've put this thing through its paces. If you are determined to spend a pile of money just to get some high-dollar tag on your home audio system, then all I can say is that P.T.Barnum was right; if you want the best bang for you buck, then all I can say is that Dayton Audio isn't a choice, it is THE choice.Read full review

I purchased the B452’s after reading a few reviews on the B652s. I thought the down sized 452 would follow the design and acoustic engineering and was completely correct. These speakers are very good for the price. Cons: They have removable grills and the pins do not exactly line up with the fasttex cups so the pin fasteners were slightly bent on two posts, but no grill vibration and the grills do stay on. Pros: The tweeter and mid-bass are matched very well. I listen flat and even at low volume (4.5”) did not need the bass boost. I was surprised. They coupled really well when set directly on the carpeted floor so did not need any stand. My room is small 10x12 but would like to add a powered 10” sub. These are not speakers that can be played at concert level without a sub, but are really very musically well balanced. Great on acoustic music, country and also do not break-up when I played Funk and horns. Not so great at classical, but just OK. My 2 cents anyway.Read full review

Punchy accurate little speakers. They fit exactly into the space I have for them. I live in an apartment, so I didn't want profound bass. It's just enough without carrying beyond my apartment. This was one of my best value purchases. No cons. I'm VERY pleased.

Bought these for a surround sound in my garage to compliment the system i already have. Mounts perfectly on the wall just make sure the wall is strong enough to support the speakers themselves. I am sure they would to fine by themselves also.

I used them as surround sound speakers, for a medium-power amp. The sound is very good and sound levels can be surprisingly loud without distortion.
