they start to rust and corrode over time (3-4 years) and it’s the entire bottle that is affected. i got this item a looooong time ago and i still have it 80% full because of the amount of bbs in here. i shoot for fun, and i don’t really care about rust so i still shot them and there was poor accuracy. i’m not sure if this is the bbs fault or the guns fault or both together, but it was very inaccurate with its aim. got steel bbs brand new and i have noticed significant increase in accuracy; don’t get copper covered because they’re cheaper. they’re a waste of money and steel is much better in the long term sense so get a 6000 count of steel bbs instead of this because those won’t change shape/texture as easily as these kinds of bbs

Very consistant quality. I have never seen a bad one yet. Don't mix with your Daisy zinc coated bb's though. Dissimilar metals and all. 6000 is a lot of shots too.

Firstly, the listing of this item should say NOTHING about 'pellets'. These are NOT pellets; they are STEEL SHOT coated with copper. I may not be an 'expert', but I have been shooting air guns for well over 45+ years. The copper coating will shed off of the steel, and it can actually lead to rust/corrosion, which I will not go into detail about. All ya' gotta do is some searching around and you WILL find articles telling you the same. THE ABSOLUTE WAY TO GO is with non-coated steel shot, what some refer to as ZINC. Also, from personal experience, the copper coated will more likely JAM when used in the magazines that use the spring follower, usually after about six shots or so. Not ALWAYS, but you can have a particular pistol who's magazines just do NOT like the things. I have NEVER had this happen with the plane steel shot, only the copper. You don't want your investment to suffer, do you? Then do not use any of the copper type of steel BBs, no matter the brand. They ALL shed the coating. Who ever is responsible for this listing really needs to edit the friggin' text so as to eliminate any reference to PELLETS, mostly for newbies trying to get all this stuff figured out.Read full review

These BB's are the same ones I bought as a kid. I am 81 and still play with my Red Rider. The bottle is big enough, they should last me a while. I also use them as weights for a wooden clock I am making. Good company.
