I had a craftsman retractable light and used it more as an extension cord. It finally broke and wore out. I found this extension cord for a good price. This is more for my needs and it has 3 outlets. Seems well constructed and it should last awhile (I have not had it too long).

I needed a new ceiling hung retractable power cord and found this one. Used 14 awg wire so it's good to 15 amp which will handle a drill and tools. It shipped here very fast and is a nice tool Given the fact sears quality has changed a lot over the past few years this one looks and works fine. Yeah it's made in China, what isn't today.

Purchased this for $48 bucks and change, great quality for the price compared to what you’d find at Lowe’s, Home Depot or harbor freight. Decent quality cord and steel body reel housing. Pretty happy with this product. Plus it’s a name you can trust unlike some off brand stuff you find on here! Is it worth the money? I would say yes even though I like to save where I can. Buy quality once and not deal with issues later!

I like everything about this product with the exception of the reel feature. It does not reel in as positive as I expected, You have to work it a bit to get it to reel in the cord, especially if there is only a couple feet of cord exposed. This is not a big deal but kept it from getting a five.

My last Craftsman reel lasted 15+ years. I needed one with 14 gauge wire for heavier loads in the garage. Also, I like the circuit breaker on the receptacle block on the end of the cord. Cheaper units have the breaker up at the inlet cord where you need a ladder to reset it.
