Very very forgiving clubs.. kind of hard to get used to looking at the size of the head after using blades or similar but the ball just rockets off the face. The clubs are very light about 15% lighter than any other set that I've tried, I originally bought these with an R shaft but because of that lightness of the head I went to the a shaft senior. I'm a 65 year old with an 11 index .. my 7-iron swing speed is in the 70 miles per hour range the seven iron in this set goes about 140 - 145 with a solid hit. Hope this review helps

Irons are easy to hit. Gets under the ball easily.
I would consider myself a mid handicap golfer. I took these clubs to the range and hit a large bucket to get adapted to the feel of these clubs. The irons are lighter than they look. My last set had steel shafts so the graphite were a noticeable difference. I've played four 9-hole games with the cleveland hi-bore irons. 1st game I immediately noticed a difference in my confidence to swing through. Shot lower scores over the next couple of rounds. Today I finished a 9 hole at flemings in S.F. Shot one of my lowest scores with an 43. The one club i have a hard time adapting to is the pitching wedge. I am more comfortable using a blade PW so the transition is slow since the cleveland PW has a wide sole. These clubs look awesome in the bag because they have a high polish look. But because of so much high polish areas on the club it shows wear faster. So overall, I would say these clubs help for someone who has a hard time getting good loft out of a shot and helps to instill confidence in a swing.Read full review
When Momma's happy...everybody's happy!
I love playing golf...and I love playing golf with my wife. She has a nice set of Cleveland VAS 742 clubs that she uses at our Virginia home, but when we travel to Florida for the winter, she uses a mish-mash collection of cast offs. So, since her swing speed is slowing down, I researched the various ladies clubs to determine a set of irons, that were not only lighter, but improved the sweet spot. These Cleveland hybrid clubs fill the bill.....she is hitting her iron shots longer and straighter...but, most importantly trajectory is higher...alowing her to stop the ball nicely on our slick Dwarf Tif-Eagle greens! I am so impressed with the design of her hybrids that I intend to find a nice set of Cleveland HB3 irons for myself.....cannot afford to let her start beating me!
Excellent Game Improvement Clubs
Finally decided to upgrade from a pretty cheap Wilson starter set I purchased about 4 years ago. I'm by no means a good golfer (I play once or twice a month and I was shooting around a 120-125 with my Wilson clubs) but I noticed an immediate improvement with these clubs (I shot a 107 last time I was out). My shots were much straighter and spending less time in the rough just made the game much more fun! I've heard these called "old man" and "cheater" clubs before but frankly, I'll take all the help I can get. The biggest difference I noticed was greatly improved shots out of the rough (yes, I spend quite a bit of time there). Also I can get a great punch shot going with the 3 iron. These clubs are super forgive on mis-hits and I would definitely recommend them. I did seem to have a lot more trouble digging myself out of the sand with the HiBore S-wedge than with my old Wilson but it may just be that I need more practice.Read full review
My experience with Hi-Bore Iron Set Golf Club
I have had at least three other golf set the last 15 years I have been golfing; I find this Iron easy to hit and hit the balls straighter to the target.I used to have hybrids in addition to the regular set, but with this iron, i dont neet extra hybrids. My friends and relatives have all bought into this type of set and love it. I expect to improve my scores with my new clubs and have more fun .
