I bought this for modifying fpv box goggles since I'm farsighted. I think I'll get another set to use for soldering work too.

Well made, but not practical. The lenses are too far away from eyes to function properly. I also bought the Carson Clip-on for glasses. These work much better & do not get in the way under your hat/cap. Do not recommend this item. Get the clip=on for glasses.

Clips on any brim hat. I use it for wrapping the guides when I'm building fishing rods. Perfect for fly-fishermen or any fisherman trying to tie on a fly or bait on a hook.

Husband is very happy with these clip-on magnifiers -- easy to clip on the brim of his cap when he's fishing so he can see the hook/line/eye/loop/tie/ as needed, without ever having to leave the river.

I have never seen +5.00 diopter glasses for sale anywhere. I used these to see the screen, which is very close, inside an R/C video pilot's "goggle". A little engineering required to mount them but I used part of the hat mount supplied. My normal reading glasses are about +3.0 diopter. Saw this tip on the rcgroups forum.
