This is one of the nicest printers I have owned. It has so many good features, scanning is easy, quality of print is excellent. Have owned 2 or 3 now and would not want any other type. Canon is a quality printer for the money.

5 in 1! This printer has it all. It scans pictures, copies, faxes, prints gorgeous prints and prints and satisfies your everyday printing. The cartridges are nice sized. They hold adequate amount of ink and don't clog very easily if you happen to forget to print something out for a month or two! The only downfall, which is the same with all printers, is the cost of ink. We can't get away from this no matter what. But I prefer this over HP, Dell, Lexmark! Why? HP's newwest Models contacts burn out immediately after the cartridge has been used up (That's a 65% chance per cartridge that the cartridge will no longer work after the ink is depleted). Thank goodness there are options to get refills on the ink cartridges. These cartridges are quit sturdy and are less problematic than the counterpart Dell and Lexmark (which are the same company). Dell and Lexmark ink cartridges are the most problematic of all the ink cartridges. The printers are quite fickle, too. I speak from experience. I've had a Dell and Lexmark printers. I've had many issues with them and vowed never to use them again. I gave my Lexmark printer away to my Church. My Canon printer has been wonderful and I am quite happy that I have this printer. I bought this 6 months ago and it's wonderful. I love everything about this printer. You will too if you can find one. These sell out pretty quickly in Retail stores. Enjoy!Read full review
I print alot of B&W. I bought one of these for my parents because my mom prints alot of pictures. I researched every printer on the market because I print alot. After purchasing my parents, I bought myself one, because I was so impressed. This AOI has exceeded my expectations on so many levels. I had some investment packages to print. I printed over 2,000 pages the first day I had it. The majority were B&W, but there were some pictures also. I printed all of this with no problem on the Cartridges that came with, which we all know are not completely full. So this said, I am estatic with my purchase. I love all of the features it has to offer, one is direct print from camera, the adjustable drying time on pics before it prints the next. This printer can also be set up to tell you everything it is doing. My parents who are getting a little long in the tooth and are not real swift with technology also love theirs, due to the easy handling and operation ot it. P.S. The B&W prints for the presentation I did on Draft. Still, that is alot of printing for one day. I am one of those people that is not easily satisfied, so for my to take time to write a review, well you get the point. Good Luck and I hope this helps you. Again, I researched every printer and am completely satisfied with both my purchases.Read full review
Only copied items, at this time. Warm up time is something I'm not accustomed but, okay. Truly like the way it does not cycle while not in use. Wanted something that you can use with refills or non-brand cartridge. Lexmark x5470 destroyed, after one use of non-Lex cartridge; was only 2 years old and used only for copes with maybe only 100 copies made. Message did warn of permanent damage.
I am so..... lucky to have found this great used, all-in-one printer from Canon on ebay!!! My other one broke after 4 years, and they don't make this model anymore. My brother bought the new replacement model for the MX310 (which by the way is wireless), and he is not happy with his. He's not happy with his because they take a different kind of ink cartridge that transfers the machine to FAX mode when the ink is just a little low--he uses the Canon brand--and misses phone calls because they were transferred automatically to FAX! Mine on the other hand requires a USB cord, and it will print until there is NO ink left at all! This is such a hearty machine and I really "put through the wringer". It does every function just about imaginable! AND I got it for $15.00 plus shipping ($32.50) in the original box! It was in perfect condition with ink cartridges. Thanks Ebay!!Read full review
