I have an old '75-'76 110 Folding Hunter with the angular ends and handle edges. Since I've developed Parkinson's disease and have arthritis in my hands, I wanted something a little more comfortable to my hands and this has those features that make it easier to use. Plus, I like the drop point knives better. This is a very beautiful knife, with fit and finish as you would expect from Buck knives. Highly recommend over the older knives if you're looking for comfort. Plus, it fits my Thunder Basin Knives concealed carry, cross draw sheath like a glove. When they're on my belt, I can't tell I'm wearing them. My t-shirt never hangs up on it. Great knife, great sheath!

When I completely unpacked the knife (new), I noticed that the wood of the handle was split! It's abnormal for a brand like Buck. I bought my first Buck in 1966 and its handle is still impeccable, like my others. For this 111, I doubt it will last as long ...

Buck 110 with 420HC drop point blade and 'rosewood' scales. Compared to my standard 110 the drop point blade has twice the side play when closed and feels rough when moving through the first 1/3 rotation when opening. The blade has BUCK above their anvil logo and USA as opposed to the standard 110 and date code markings. The 'rosewood' is plain with almost no veining and lighter than I expected. Overall it's a good knife the fit and finish are very well done, the slight roughness may smooth out with use. Factor in the very low price for an American made forever warranty good looking knife and it's outstanding.

Beautiful knife, razor sharp right out of the box, exactly what one can expect from buck knives! The drop point blade adds just enough heft to handle any task at hand.my only concern, from a collectors point, is the blade is stamped 111,but sheath says 110,at least mine does, a minor point, but still recommend getting one for yourself, & add a kwik thumb stud in your favorite color, for 1 hand open! Very satisfied, buck fan for life!

Basically its just a Drop point Blade 110 but with fancier bolsters and marked 111. That said it is typical high quality Buck knife for an affordable price. Mine had very nice color and figure in the rosewood colored dymondwood handles. I don't plan to actually use mine but I have about 20 others that are in my EDC rotation and are always my first choice belt knife for every day at work and play.
