Excellent FPS. Get the premium version so you get the expansion packs.
Definitely one of the best of the battlefield series. The single player story is pretty good and fun to play. The Co-Op is a pretty cool addition to this series. The maps are excellent visually. The controls have not changed much so you are able to transition from playing the previous versions very easily. The weapons and vehicle changes are very cool. The ability to do damage to the structures in the game allow you to really change the environment. Also you can damage the parked vehicles in the game which changes how you use cover. I would give this game 5 stars if not for having to install Origin which basically controls all characteristics of the game and seems to make it load way slower.

Play Battlefield 3 before playing COD: MW3.
The game is one of the most popular online FPS shooting games on PC; more players online than MW3. I own MW3 also. Anyways, the single player campaign is friggin' awesome! This is my first Battlefield game I've ever owned and the story line is excellent, but short(5-8 hours of story mode.) Online multiplayer is hard and takes a while to get used to. I'm new to PC first person shooter(FPS) games and I started playing MW3 first. I thought BF3 was run-around-shoot-to-kill type of game, but it is not. It is like real life, you camp, scope the area to see if it's clear, then sprint to cover and do the same until you find an enemy then shoot to kill...unless you get sniped by the campers. I bought this game for $25 and bought the expansion pack(back to karkland for $7.50 and bought the shortcut multiplayer weapon bundle for $19.99, all from origin.) This way I don't have to work my way up for weapons! All BF3 products on Origin are 50% off until May 29! So basically, I spent $48 on this game, which is cheaper than the limited edition because all you get in limited edition is the Back to Karland expansion pack. Overall, very fun game, you can drive cars, tanks, helicopters/attack helicopters, assault jeeps, fighter planes and stationary anti-air weapons. Very fun. If you are debating between MW3 or this game. BUY BATTLEFIELD 3 first before MW3. After playing BF3, you will be a better MW3 player! I know from first hand experience. Hope I provided enough information to the people reading this review. -Duy Read full review

Terrible software, barely runs, piece of junk.
Absolutely horrible game. I purchased this game after playing and enjoying Battlefield 2 for years and decided to give Battlefield 3 a try. All specs of my computer were above the minimum system requirements listed on the game and on EA's site and I triple checked that all my computer specs were above these. After a gruelingly long installation I tried playing online but found that the server browser is launched from a webpage. The server browser that EA has set up is absolutely horrible and barely works. The game itself was also unplayable as it would run at lower than 20 fps most of the time on the lowest settings on low populated servers. EA says that the game is playable with the minimum system specs but this is EA just lying to your face. I guess they think that 5 fps is acceptable for online play. I will not be purchasing anything from EA ever again and urge others to do so as well. EA obviously does not care about the quality of its products anymore. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Battlefield 3 (PC) EZ-REVIEW
If your looking for reasons why PC is better/worse than PS3, XBOX 360 or Wii, then this isn't a review for you. I simply am attempting to review the game Battlefield 3 for WINDOWS. This game rated MATURE 17+. Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language. So let's begin. I give BF3 for the PC 8.4 out of 10. Listed below is my ratings and explainations; 7 = PRESENTATION Next Generation Cinematics Squences and Eye Poppin Graphics. One of the most impressive (if not the most)graphics to date. However, if your PC isn't top notch (Latest Alienware or a Super Computer for example) forget being able to run the game and graphics in all its glory. 8 = GAMEPLAY Feels like most FPS shooter's with a physics engine that gives your character weight. 9 = AUDIO Sounds great! Crisp sounds and good vocals. Movie style muscial score. Weapon fire and explosions are exceptional. 9.5 = REPLAY Single Player mode is good! Amid several reviews that claim the single player wasn't good. Listen its a video game, the storys fine the cinematics are great. The action is pretty awesome. Yes, their have been better storymodes but seriously if I was looking to be awe-inspired I'd watch a movie. But the true value of the game is multi-player hands down. 8.5 = ONLINE Multiple Player mode is good. Graphics mimic single player mode and maps are great. The detail and realism from the FROST engine are wonderful (via super computer). Online play is the most epic warfare to date. 8.4 = OVERALL Good Game! Excellent Graphics, Good Story, Great Sound and Good play. Not a new gaming mechanic but definitely the very top of class. BF3 is a great buy if your PC can handle the VERY HIGH DEMANDING REQUIREMENTS. Yes, you should be fine to play on low level but seriously its just not the same game. I would not recommend this game for the average PC Consumer. If you have a rig that can handle it or don't mind spending the money for the upgrades to run this game in all its glory, then your in for a great ride and a very well made game. Read full review
