First lets start with everything t...hats good about this game. The guns; the guns in this game have the punch and feel of real military rifles and are some of the most realistic looking and sounding weapons in a game. This game also features and open world and vehicle usage to travese this open world. Approach your target how you like, gives the player freedom. Now for the bad. The health system in the game uses a needle that you stick into yourself to recharge your health unfortunately you'll be sticking this needle into yourself every five minutes because enemy AI target only the player and damage is set up so that three rifle shots or one sniper shot that hits the player means dead. Fortunatly the game is forgiving and respawns you without loosing any of your progress but it may spawn you far from the action meaning you have to sprint to get into the action again. Now for Bad Company's worst offense; Multiplayer balance. This is one of the most fustrating issues in Bad Company. BC features a rank system similar to COD4 where you gain in ranks and with each rank you gain unlocks for improved weapons, health, motar strikes etc. However the game will pair lower rank players against higher rank players leading to an unfair and one sided match. Also vehicle balance needs work. Unocccupied vehicles can be destroyed and if the opposing team has the howitzer they can reign constant fire down on the enemy base and destroy vehicles as soon as the spawn leaving the team with no chance to defend themselves with vehicles also some maps give only one team a helecopter severly crippling the opposing teams chances at defense. This game isnt worth a full 60 dollars but its a good game for 20 and if you can find it at that price definatly pick it up
...I have seen the previews to this game before and thought it might be fun just a laid back shooting game. In a way I was right not like normal FPS games. You can go into certain area's when there clear but you can go back where you want blow up what you want but on the other hand there are serious moments that keep you coming back for more. If you want a new spin on an old concept this is the game for you. It has great graphics to start with, The gaming environment is almost fully destructible, You can even just run over people to kill them, You can walk, run, or crouch. Along with drive a car, tank, helicopter, golf cart (yes a golf cart, an old man mobile), A.P.C., and a tricked out dune buggy. Your weapons have the same variety everything from a pistol to an R.P.G. even tactical shotguns and with different models of the guns provided. I found 3 different types of sniper rifles. The only draw back to the whole game in my opinion is it should be longer and ammunition carrying capacity. You usually run out in a firefight but you can find a weapons box and just walk by it to restock or you can steal a whole new one off of a dead guy or if he's carrying the same weapon just walk over him to get his ammunition. The best thing about this game is what I call the secondary stuff you can carry. Your weapons are on RB but if you hit LB you have a revive shot that can give you back your health and it unlimited!! you just have to wait for it to recharge - about 10 sec. Then you have one slot where you can find stuff on the ground an carry it with you like an impact wrench to fix vehicles, R.P.G., C-4 - with this you can set 1 charge or all your carrying and set them off remotely (but I wouldn't not as impressive if your too far away), Russian tool to order mortar attacks on anything, U.S. laser guidance system only on marked targets (not as fun as Russian one) and you have to guide in the missile with the Xbox controller. I recommend this game to anyone with a scene of humor and a taste for FPS games.
The game was a little aggravating. Every time, I'd ...start to get into a "level" I'd be interrupted by another point less cut-scene. And the overall game-length only lasted about 4 hours. I purchased this game, because I'm addicted to it's predecessor's online play, for the original Xbox. And I was disgusted with this games, version of the online play. So disgusted, that I pulled my original Xbox back out, and sold this game within a week of buying it! Don't worry I did make an illegal copy of it first. In case I ever change my mind. :)
One of the most versitil battle feild ...expearences you'll ever blowup. BC was developed with the gamers in mind who get angry when their rockets are blocked form killing the enemy because of a invincible piece of cardboard is in the way. Well in CB that card board wall might as well be a cement wall since a Rpg will blow it to bit either way and the dumb schmuck on the other side! And as for toughs of you snipers how love to hide in a cramped little corner so that you can snipe with as little detection as possible. BC's maps are huge with plenty of bushes to hide in and as long as you do head shots all day No one will ever see you. One shot one kill! Now you ask this writer of dribble what are the disadvantages of the game... Well the biggest is the lack of personalization. Example, if you want a assault rifle you get to pick form 4 rifles... but that's the end of your personalization for if you take a assault unit you get the rifle, grenades, a personal healing pack, and a grenade launcher. So no you cant have rocket launchers and laser designator if you want that M-16... But this loss of choices balances the game. All in all I love this game and give it 8 out of 10 cheese! Great game!
This is a shooter that doesn't... get old or repetative. The action is always live on multiplayer. The single mode is very exciting and traines one to engage on live battles. There are many weapons and each class has unique new war era weapondry to mask massive assualts. This game is very awakening once in a vehicle. There are many vehicles to try out. Overall, this is a very fun, non-time consuming game. Many players are playing right now as this article is written.
