This is probably one of the most stable machines they built. You can up grade the ram to 32gb... hold 4 hard drives. I only use this for recording but it has a ton of features. Gold mine if you wanna get out of the G5 apple this is the first step.

Mac Pro Desktop
Extremely well designed. Easily upgradeable without a great deal of expense considering its age. Still performing and editing video when many Windows PCs have had to be long forgotten. It is dependable though sometimes a little slow. Already own 1 just like it and will buy another if the price is fair. When it comes to doing graphic work or any type of production work, it can't be beat. My only regret is that Apple doesn't still make them.

Beware of compatibility issues
As an older Mac Pro model, it requires a software hack in order to run any version of Mac OS beyond 10.7. This is due to this model's 32-bit EFI, and makes reinstalling a newer OS problematic, as it will require modified install media and possibly further modification after installation, including a way to prevent OS updates breaking the installation.

Great purchase!
This Mac was for a great price! These old Mac Pro 1,1 still work fantastically. There is still a lot of support for 10.7, but with some upgrades it can run 10.11. This computer was how it was said to be and in better condition than I expected.
