Read this book and
Ashley Judd is a remarkable person...Let me just say, I was crying as I read the prologue, I have cried many times since. Many will buy this book for the Judd Family History, I admit I did. The book is so much more, as Ms. Judd intimately describes her personal struggles as well as detailing her journeys into the worlds of some of the most marginalized and vulnerable human beings on earth: the brothels of women and children sex slaves... I am not a writer, I don't know what to say ~ Ashley Judd is sensitive and brutally honest, read her inspiring book!
Ashley Judd is a strong fabulous woman the book is a wonderful read!!!!
Ashley Judd let's you into her childhood struggle that is so personal that when I finished the book I felt like she was a dear friend. I enjoyed her openness about depression, family dysfunction, and mean selfish family members that can't get over themselves to help someone else heal. Her journey in humanitarian work is also very woven into Ashely's soul and you feel that as you read about these experiences. Ashley has always been my favorite Judd and know I know why. Thank you Ashley for writing this book you gave me insight not only to your life but my life too.
I think this book was great. Ashley Judd tells you about her life and holds nothing back, but at the same time she respects the people involved. I really enjoyed this book and just couldn't put it down. It shows how caring and compassionate she is for what she believes. This was a 5 star book and if Ashley Judd wrote another book, I would definitly not hesitate to buy it. Good Writer.
Exceptional story of an exceptional woman! Awesome autobiography!
Superbly written life story with great insight and belief in the human spirit. An exceptional story of an exceptional young woman. Truly heartfelt and touching which causes the reader to actually think. This book will touch, as well as change/help, many who are looking for true depth and growth within.
Great value for the money spent on this book. I loved the book.
Interesting book and I see that money is VERY important but fame that comes with money isn't anything if you are not humble and help others in need. Ashley is a GREAT rolde-model for that. I truly enjoyed the book and I think it is a great what she is doing now.
