At first, I thought that the head had been damaged and that I bought a damaged product. I took the top part of the head off and found a layer of what looked and felt like sticky syrup between the the pieces. I cleaned it well and the plate now slides on and off as designed. Great Product. Thanks.

Very easy fluid head drive, takes getting use to when you're so custom to normal tripods. Uses a different technique when panning & turning... so this is a unique tripod. I have so many tripods, but I always trusted & loved manfrotto's, mainly because of their fluid heads. This one you can fit in tight areas, but simple & easy to use. I also love the weight & simplicity of the head & tripod. I don't see much use of the hand strap... but I highly recommend this.
Was exactly what I was wanting for a great price. The only thing I struggle with is the extreme smell of smoke. Im not a smoker so it filled my home with that stench. I wish I would have known it was coming from a smoker. Otherwise it was a great buy!

if youre going back and forth between purchasing this monopod vs the one without the fluid video head, do yourself a favor and buy this one. its much cheaper to buy it together as opposed to buying it separately. this monopod is heavier but a lot more sturdy. i use this monopod for weddings and it helps having your camera on this as opposed to having it around your neck or across your body. photography-wise, your pictures will be much sharper with the use of a monopod or tripod. videography-wise, this is one of the only stablizing equipment youll need.the joint at the bottom has to be lubricated every few uses.
Great product for versatile shooting. This is great for events where you need to be moving a lot and changing the height of your shots. The feet on the bottom make it great shots on surfaces that would make other monopods slip and slide all over the place. I have been nothing but satisfied with this product and think that it is a great addition to anyone's repertoire of video equipment. The only regret I have is that I didn't get it sooner.
