This CD player would fall between just "okay" and unsatisfactory
If I had been looking for a player to be somewhat reliable, this one would not have been it. I am so put off by the quality, that at this point I feel I will only get a handful of uses out of it or maybe even two handfuls. But I bought this for my aunt who is in a nursing home to play her favorite song for a little bit until she gets tired of the song (she had a stroke and not much patience for playing). The photos on the internet show that the button identification words are nice and bright, BUT they are not at all hardly readable unless you have a magnifying glass to assist. About 50 percent of the time you have to press the lid down more than once to get the top to close. When testing this, a few times I had to press a button twice in order to get the button to do what it is supposed to do. For example, when pressing the Play button and skip button. Headphones work great and I think the sound quality is decent. The actual playing of the CD is nice and smooth. All in all, I recommend to purchase one for a little more money.Read full review

Ok for the price
It is pretty cheap quality, but you get what you pay for. It plays cd's fine, as long as you don't move it in anway; it skips with the slightest movement! I don't recommend this player if you plan on using it in the car... Otherwise it's Ok. FYI, I would use better earphones with it though because it helps with sound quality. I use really good quality earphones with mine, and it DOES make a difference!

Skips more than my old one
I bought this to replace a previous GPX portable cd player that quit after 3 years of hard use. It works the same as the old one except that it is more prone to skipping if bumped. Other than that its great.

You get what you paid for
Very good price and arrived quickly. Sound OK but main disadvantage is that you shut it off and next time you have to start the disk from the beginning. Doesn't resume from where you left off (I use it to listen to courses) like my old SONY did

A great compact disc player to have.
This is something I needed for my office and I am happy to have it to go along with my new computer when the time comes to purchase it. I know I will be happy to get some head phones to go with them so I can listen to the groovy tunes I have on my desk when I do.
