ok let's start with the good LIFE is great to play right off the bat from getting married to having kids and watching it all the animations are awsome and to be honest i think even a very well rounded 5 year old could play (minus the weeding dance part).Next good would be MOUSE TRAP a game i never knew of anyone ever finishig in real life and i can see why now but at the same time it is fun on this game building the traps and even if your in last space wise you can be the one that survives by getting the other players trapped in the cage lol and my wife loves the cute little mice costumes you avatars have on lol.Next ok is TWISTER now they get kind of rock band guitar hero on you here butto commands go by then you have to copy then sort like bop it/simon but it is a challenge but pretty simple again the actual save to this game would be the animations and the avatars lol.CLUE well i had never played clue befour and now that i have i like it but it's a little drawn out and you can cheat with others in the room it tells you to leave the room when you making a guess to tell you what you have right (room, weapon, person) and or wrong by giving what you have right a green check and wrong a red X you controll how long it displays the checks and Xs by pressing the A butto but still who wnt to all leave the room every time lol.THE HORRIBLE YATZEE ok again a game i had never played always heard of but in this virsion they are trying to be like UNO i gues but a worse virsion of it and no real clear directions i'm still trying to understand it but its a pain and the down fall of the game to me cause no kid would play this that I'm sure of i say they would have been better putting SCRABBLE on ALL THE GAMES HAVE REMIXES MAKE OVERS SOME GOOD SOME BAD BUT OVER ALL I WOULD GIVE IT the game in a whole it self a B+ and say catich it with a good snipe move for 20 or under thank you all for reading and may God Bless you and yours....^_^Read full review
Let me start by saying Iām a big fan of the first Xbox 360 release, āFamily Game Nightā (FGN). I feel they did not put much effort into āFamily Game Night 3ā (FGN3). This game was a big let down, especially after playing FGN. The game is a lot flashier and they did a good job with customizing Mr Potatohead, but they should have spent more time with game play. In FGN, they did a good job of transforming the board game into a video game. It was fun and easy to play, without much waiting. In FGN3, the game seems very slow with a lot of the same type of minigames. It seems like they ran out of ideas to bring the classic board games onto the Xbox. The minigames were just a lot the same button mashing. If you are going to get a game that is great to play for both friends and family, get FGN and stay away from FGN3, unless you want to sit there in boredom.Read full review
Certainly a great family title, me and my girlfriend really just bought it to play life which is fun...the rest of the games leave something to be desired and I doubt we'll play any of them besides life. Clue especially is strange, and yahtzee's directions are not clear in the slightest, a lot of the directions aren't.

I am both a board game fan and a video game fan, so the Family Game Night series makes me happy. However, FGN3 is a definite step down in the series and includes less-intuitive games and much-too-simple mini-games. The best board games combine strategy and chance, but FGN3 includes too many games that are entirely up to chance and have very little replay value. Of the five new games, Yahtzee Hands Down is the best. The worst game (if you can even call it a game) is Twister, which is basically a simplified rhythm game that is reused as a mini-game in The Game Of Life. All five games have both "original" and "remix" versions available to play, all with varying value. Overall, I would categorize this edition of FGN as more child-oriented in its game choices (Mouse Trap, The Game Of Life, Twister) and less likely to have the lasting Xbox Live presence that the other titles have enjoyed.Read full review
This came well in advance, in time for Mother's day. I bought it because many of these are the board games we have loved for years. So far we've played 3 of them. Fun and easy to use with the controller.
nice game and features wish there was more to the game

In other reviews I've read, what I heard rang true. They spent a lot of time on graphics and making sure you can do fun things with your avatar, but the quality and content of the games is lacking. LIFE was pretty accurate but CLUE was a big disappointment as that was a childhood favorite in our house. You can still have fun but don't have your hopes too high.
Love this game. A great break from the zombies and other action shooters

It's great when you have multiple people playing, but sometimes 1 player is just as fun.

Love this game. The game of life is worth the purchase alone.
