I had borrowed season 1 of Stargate Atlantis from my local library as a friend had recommended it. I must admit, the cover looked slightly corny, and the set languished in a lonely corner. One day, I was looking for a movie to exercise to, and my eye fell on Stargate Atlantis. Well, might as well try it out. I. Was. Totally. Hooked. Some malicious person had stolen the last disc of season 1, so, I went online and bought all five seasons. Shucks. So hard. :) Season three definitely carries on the saga with great gusto. All the favorite characters are at it again. So much humor ( Sheppard teaching Ronon golf, McCay's obsession with intergalactic whales, etc), plenty of tear jerkers too ( RIP Dr. Becket). All in all, it's a great season. I highly recommend it. Watch out for the Replicators. Read full review

No Sci-Fy any better than this!
Nothing better in Sci-Fi in the last decade. Way better characters than SG-1! Dr. Weir and Rodney were brought into this spin-off series. Special features are fascinating. Photo galleries are neat additions. After watching season three, I will buy Season Two, then watch it all again. The Wraith are scarier than bad guys in other epics. I just love ATLANTIS!

what a mess up.
with debit card fully loaded and cocked i slowly crept toward the dream destination Stargate Atlantis - fearing an impending Wraith attack i scared but confident that the target could be obtained. i was about to buy the entire third season of my number one TV show - and at a really great price. i punched the buttons, filled in the blanks, and perservered through it all. i aimed and fired my debit card straight into the heart of eBay. it stalled, it whirled and then fell defeated at my feat - the sweat clouded my eyes and obscured my view to the point where i had trouble actually believing i had won!!! then i turned and sat down to await the bearer of the mail. i waited. and i waited. and then more waiting. waited waited -- did i mention i did some waiting/ three or so long weeks i waited for Rachael and Torri and all the rest BUT TO NO avail. i had been ripped. deceived by the abberations of the Wraith (or someone named )*(&%^) !!! he had taken my money and stepped through the Stargate to who knows where. i was saddened by all that expectation wasted. i was then angry and all the rrest of my tired old emotions. but i am happy to report that i recuperated. i went back wounded and scarred but i mannaged to capture at least part of what i lost. e so here i sit typing - trying to put into words what getting ripped off on eBay felt/feels like. Stargate Atlantis
My experience with SA began with reruns on the Sci-fi channel, On that particular day, the re-runs ended at the end of season 2 leaving me with a desire to go out and purchase season 3. Since then, I've also purchases season 4 of SA and am waiting for season 5. My guess is you wouldn't be looking at season 3 unless you've already watched seasons 1-2 which means you don't need me to tell you to "buy it". But I'll recommend it anyway. Buy it, it's worth it. Plus each and every episode on the dvd has commentary from either the stars or the producers/directors. Definitely worth it!!

Best season so far.
I bought this to listen to the special features and to complete my library. This is the best season so far. Love the character stories. The special features are good, commentaries are informational and fun to listen to. And the other special features are great to listen to and watch. I only wish at some point bloopers would be included in the DVD. All of the special features are scripted and it would be nice to see some "people being people" footage. Overall terrific dvd and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Stargate Atlantis.
