I purchased this tripod after watching reviews. My old Gitzo was feeling its’ age somewhat, so I decided to give this a try. Pros, large bore tuning, lightweight and positive leg lock action. Cons : not as sturdy as it should be in the wind. I am using this as a support for my spotting scope, so I review it with that use in mind. All controls are smooth and positive. I like the short lock-unlock a lot. I also like not having to fully extend the tripod to use it . The down side for me is that the tripod seems prone to vibrating in the wind, more than I hoped it would. Cost is about what you might expect. I found a deal on an open box sale, so paid 400. Worth a look, but try if before buying.

Incredibly light. Very strong. I totally love his tall it is. I'm 6'0" and I can walk under it when it's fully extended. Even comes with a nice tripod bag and a neat tool to adjust all parts and tighten quick release plates.
