The tiller came quick and was super easy to put together, Like 3 parts, We use a 100 ft orange power cord, and it works amazing. we were a little skeptical of an electric tiller but this thing is an animal, works great and digs fast and deep, its a tad hard to handle cuz it’s light yet powerful but it’s not too bad, I would definitely recommend! BE AWARE we haven’t tilled our garden for years so their was lots of roots so every row we did we unplugged it and pulled the roots out of the tines so it didn’t over heat the electric motor So be aware of that

Buying refurbished is taking a gamble. I should have bought a new one and hopefully all the parts were there and the condition looked new. Mine was missing the cable clip and the middle handle. I eventually got the middle handle and had to use duct tape for the cable clip.

Buyer beware of something I wasn't aware of. This product uses 13.5 AMPS of electricity and will require a 10/3 (10 gauge) extension cord. Anything less will be a fire hazard on the cord and will also burn up the engine from insufficient electricity. You cannot skimp on the power supply. I had to buy 2 100ft 10/3 extension cords at a cost of $80.00 each plus shipping.

The tiller arrived with all the things on the parts list along with the operator's manual. After reading the instructions for specific dos and donts I leisurely assembled the tiller and had it connected to my outdoor extension cord in about one hour. I was impressed at the motor strength and the tilling ability on medium depth to our 6x16 small veg garden. Planting tomorrow if the signs are right. If you are on the fence, my husband was VERY impressed with the initial tiller tryout. We were respectful of the machine's ability, took our time, and it dealt us some excellent vegetable soil! We love my little tiller! Thanks to Maqproducts for shipping fast and offering a good product at a fair price! 🇺🇸

"Is it a good quality" I don't know yet, This is the 2nd Sun Joe model I have owned. The last one a TJ601E took care of my 5000 sq.ft. garden for one season, and went out the 2nd. I couldn't find replacement parts, so I couldn't fir it, at the time I didn't know where to look for parts. I got this one new out of the box, for $99.00, and I know know where to hunt for parts. I also know know not to send off warranty data until the day I start using something. I wish us all luck, and many hours of gardening.

for a 13amp tiller, it seems to plow well and easy to maneuver. other choices are 6,8,12amp. but I figured for electric, I wanted to make sure I had plenty of power.

Worked very well. Plenty powerful enough and remarkably durable despite our very rocky ground and hitting a lot of redwood roots. Also easy to remove tines for removing roots.

13.5A provides enough power to excavate even moderately-dry sod. Wish it had some form of speed reduction, especially for tough, dry soils. Much better than hassling with a gas-powered unit. When does the cordless version (with comparable power) debut ?

Works well on previously tilled ground. I tried it on an area with some rocks, and it would definitely not survive that for long. Rocks or roots tend to jam the machine, sometimes requiring disassembly. I can't speak to it's durability, since I've only done about 400sqft so far, but power is not a problem.
