Bought for home back up power. Handles our entire 2500 sqft home along with the well. Comes with bonded neutral but jumper is very easy to remove should your application need it. Oil capacity is quite a bit higher than listed in the manual. The manual looks like an incomplete repurposing of the smaller models manual leaving some details to be desired. It’s not quite by any means but it is barely audible, if at all, from inside our home. I received the updated model with the 50amp plug on the left so no connection troubles for me. I also bought a cover from GenTent and am very happy with its fit. I did four oil changes in the first 25 hours (1,3,10, and 15) of operation and would recommend anyone else do similar due to the amount of metal shavings removed in the first few changes. Shipping company left some to be desired but for the price the additional aggravation was worth it. Read full review

I've only run it briefly to make sure it runs (on propane). I might give it four or five stars in a couple of years if it holds up. Price for a dual-fuel unit with such a high power output is unmatched in my searches. Electric start with battery included is a plus, but I was delighted to find that it has a 50A outlet, in addition to the expected 30A one. Twin handles AT THE RIGHT HEIGHT with bigger wheels give much easier maneuverability on the rough dirt floor of my barn than my 6000 watt Aldi Kingcraft.

With this being a dual fuel generator, I planned to run it primarily on propane. When I hooked it up to my brand new and filled 20 lb propane tank, it ran very rough and I could not get it off of full choke mode without it dying. So, I took the provided hose and regulator down to my local propane supplier to see if they were faulty and they found they were operating correctly at 1PSIG. I called Pulsar and described the problem. They diagnosed it was likely the diaphram regulator where the hose connects to the generator and promptly sent out a replacement diaphram regulator. What turned out to be the real problem is that the new propane tanks come with an OPD shutoff valve that activates if you open the trangle valve on the tank all the way. The flow is too great, and the OPD valve shuts off and then opens up causing a pulsation of the propane flow. You must only open the triangle valve on the tank one full turn of 360 degrees, then the generator starts up just fine and runs great. This needs to be included in the instructions packet. This is why I am giving the product 4 stars. Read full review

I assembled the wheels, handles, and leg rests. Added gasoline, and oil. Set the choke, and it started with two pulls on the manual lanyard. Then I connected with a 15 amp electric chain saw and the saw worked as normal. The surge was handled with no drop in performance. Next test is propane but this generator is high quality and performs. It is heavy, but was shipped on a pallet. The manual ia OK but some of the critical sketches are too small to read.. I feel confidant this generator will see me through the next hurricane or power failure.

I bought two of them. They both start easily and perform as desired. One for our cabin and a second for our 440 foot deep well,. They run well on both gasoline & propane. We can run all the essential electrical devices in our cabin except one water heater and the electric oven. I just finished connecting the crossover switch to our well yesterday. Our five horsepower pump 440 feet down drew only 27 amps (31 amps for a split second on startup) so, we no longer have to worry about California's preventative blackouts.
