The Pathfinder truly works without using cellular data . We are Authorized Dealers. A device with Bluetooth 4.0 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is required to operate the Pathfinder. Downloading the app initially requires data usage.
Takes a little time to set up...but great quality and features. Excited to know all it can do for me.
I think the price is a little high. I have two dogs and I'm trying to use it to keep them on my 7.5 acres and not go to the neighbors for a chicken dinner. It takes about 5 minutes to get both my dogs set up and ready to leave the house. So, a little longer than I wish, but I'm getting quicker all of the time. Honestly this is a pretty cool device and I would recommend it. I'm just not as savvy as I need to be yet. And, I really don't know if the dogs get a beep, buzz or shock when they get close to my geofence? I might be missing that somewhere, but if someone can comment and let me know, I'd appreciate it. Thanks and yes...I'd recommend purchasing this unit. A lot of features I have yet to work with.
Love this product. It is great on my griffon while used for upland game. The point feature is amazing in tall grass/think cover. I can quickly find and track my dog. No data on my phone either. Does eat phone battery and it's a pain to quickly use the electric training function. That's why it got 4 stars vs 5. Overall I'd buy again and again.
Product is exactly as explained and expected. However, I'm not sure the actual purpose of the handheld controller, because every feature is controlled by your phone once it is connected via bluetooth. Seems as though the controller could be completely done away with, if the company did a little extra work.
